Know your Candidate, Barack Obama [W:131]

no moving the goal posts, you have been shown that potus candidates generally release alot more than 2 years..i believe you called me a 'liar' on that....i believe you owe me an apology, not that i ever expect to get one from you...what is your boy hiding con? what is in those returns that he is so deathly afraid of? and, please, again, results don't matter to you, so long as the (R) is next to the name, you are good.

How are you coming on your homework finding out what a statistic is? While you are at it look up the definition of precedence. What someone else did doesn't change the definition of precedence which was in the article you even posted. "Your" President is responsible for the economic results today and you want to divert to the Romney tax returns. That is a sign of desperation on your part. There is no requirement that anyone release their tax returns to run for President

Seems you do have a very short memory and always demand answers to your questions but never give any of your own claiming that someone else always did it but never posting that proof. You have been around here long enough for everyone to know where you stand and to also see that statistics thus data and facts aren't your friend. You are always the ultimate cheerleader until proven wrong and then you just run and ignore the posts that prove you wrong. Guess that is something you are just used to doing

negative ghost rider, don't divert...answer my question, what is your boy afraid of?

Will be glad to when you answer the question as to when the economy and economic results become Obama's responsibility? You also need to look up the word precedence as well as the requirement to run for President. Do you think Romney's tax returns are going to put 23 million unemployed/under employed Americans back to work or increase the GDP more than the current 1.5%?

answer the question, what is he afraid of? i have every right to know about the person who wants to be my 'fearless leader'....what is being asked of him is standard, nothing that hasnt been asked of others before him....if he can't handle people wanting to dig into his finances, his past, THEN PERHAPS HE SHOULDNT HAVE RUN FOR PRESIDENT.

LOL, if that is the case and you voted for Obama that says a lot about you and your ability to make the proper choice. Romney's resume shows the leadership and management skills that don't mean much to someone like you.

Why would any tax return be relevant to someone like you? Just another diversion from an Obama supporter. There is no evidence whatsoever that Romney has done anything wrong with his taxes or the IRS would be investigating and brought charges. This is just pure jealousy on your part when there are so many other issues than what Romney paid in taxes. I

f someone's tax returns are so important why aren't they a requirement to run for President?

i see you still havent answered the question...what is he afraid of? damn peculiar on his part to let this drag on, when all he has to do is release 5 years worth....he is deathly afraid of something...jealousy on my part? hardly....

I see that you still never answer any questions, you obviously didn't pay any attention to Obama's tax returns or his resume and the results show you made a bad mistake that you just cannot admit. When do the economic results and economy become the responsibility of Obama?

i explained this to you once before, once you learn to answer questions put to you (like the one in my signature that still awaits an answer from you) i will be more than happy to answer yours....so...what is romney hiding or afraid of con? even dubya released a batch of his returns....why can't/won't romney?

How do you explain GE paying zero taxes?

How indeed.

The Jobs Czar: General Electric's Jeffrey Immelt

Hes been in the middle of the Obama administration poised to take advantage of billions in R&D subsidies/tax breaks and green initiatives/energy projects and you wonder how they paid zero taxes. Liberal policies, thats how.

You probably picked the worst example of complicity with the Obama administration to make your point with---congratulations.

The exact same can be said of the numerous sealed documents in Obama's background, yet you dismiss that information as being unimportant.

What Romney does with his money is his business, what hes going to do for or with Americans' money is what counts and what is very much our business.

You have no intention of ever answering any direct questions only to divert from the Obama record. you will see the 2010-2011 returns as if they matter to you. What are you afraid of voting for someone with actual business experience as well as public service experience?

Really, well there's just a few problems with your anaylsis and they are huge......

Two out of every three United States corporations paid no federal income taxes from 1998 through 2005, according to a report released Tuesday by the Government Accountability Office, the investigative arm of Congress.....

The G.A.O. study was done at the request of two Democratic senators, Carl Levin of Michigan and Byron L. Dorgan of North Dakota. In recent years, Senator Levin has held investigations on tax evasion and urged officials and regulators to examine whether corporations were abusing tax laws by shifting income earned in higher-tax jurisdictions, like the United States, to overseas subsidiaries in low-tax jurisdictions.

Senator Levin said in written remarks on Tuesday that “this report makes clear that too many corporations are using tax trickery to send their profits overseas and avoid paying their fair share in the United States.”...read

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- General Electric filed more than 7,000 income tax returns in hundreds of global jurisdictions last year, but when push came to shove, the company owed the U.S. government a whopping bill of $0.

How'd it pull off that trick? By losing lots of money

GE had plenty of earnings last year -- just not in the United States. For tax purposes, the company's U.S. operations lost $408 million, while its international businesses netted a $10.8 billion profit....read...."
GE: 7,000 tax returns, $0 U.S. tax bill - Apr. 16, 2010

(Reuters) - Thirty large and profitable U.S. corporations paid no income taxes in 2008 through 2010, said a study on Thursday that arrives as Congress faces rising demands for tax reform but seems unable or unwilling to act.....

The report referred back to the 1986 tax reform pushed through by President Ronald Reagan, a Republican, who approved the largest corporate tax increase in U.S. history, largely by ending tax breaks, while cutting individual tax rates.

The average effective corporate tax rate, as calculated by McIntyre's group, was about 14 percent before the Reagan reforms; afterward it shot up to 26.5 percent in 1988....<snip>....

As companies found their way around the reforms, the effective rate fell back to about 17 percent by 2002-2003....<snip>....

What are some of the tax breaks that corporations enjoy? One big one is accelerated depreciation that lets them write off equipment faster than it actually wears out. Deductions on executive stock options help. So do tax breaks for research and development and for making products in the United States instead of overseas. Offshore tax shelters play a role, too.....read

I think you owe Obama an apology.

How so? Those reports came out in August of 2008, April of 2010, and November of 2011, right?

Who was president at the time (while August of 2008 was Bush, Bush was essentially a lame duck at that point, and Obama was in office 5 months later)?
Who has done nothing about it, but only encourage it by creating additional tax breaks, while in office?

I think you need to stop schilling for a guy who heavily responsible for something you're against...

Corporate tax evasion is a systemic problem that has been going back to the 1980s. Nothing has changed in the corporate tax code since Reagan. In spite of what you want to believe, Obama is a mortal man, not a God and unless congress acts there is little he can do and the same would be true with a Republican president. It is you who needs to stop schilling and spreading lies and misinformation about things you know little about.

LMFAO... things I know little about...

Corporate tax evasion is a systematic problem, yes...

It's also a problem Obama was running on preventing... and the "subsidies to Big Oil" that he was going to end...

Instead, he's actually increased the number of tax breaks and loopholes that companies can use... creating special legislation to help out his buddies at Goldman Sachs, GE, GM, the UAW, etc. Additionally, he added numerous tax breaks in ARRA, and Cash for Clunkers, energy credits, fuel efficient car credits (co-inciding with the GM release of the $47K Volt), etc. So now as a result of Obama, there's more loopholes to use to your advantage...

No, he's not "a God" (whoever that is), but he was President and of the party that had supermajority in both houses when he came into office. That means he had the "Go", to do what he wanted... and you know what he did...

World Tour with the family, complete with apology speeches...

and kick backs to campaign contributors...

When Governor of MA, (despite not being "a God" either) Romney eliminated numerous tax loopholes which corporations used to get around paying taxes, which MA benefited from the reciept of $300M in additional tax revenue as a result...

Now, Romney is running for President of the US, with one of his strong points being that he knows how to eliminate tax loopholes that allow corporations and individuals to get around paying taxes... since he has experience dealing with it... All you Democrats pointing out how his taxes show he got around paying the full amount goes to show he does know what he's talking about...

So, again, if you have an issue with corporations taking advantage of the system, and not paying taxes... Romney would be the guy to support...
