Romney fires back at Obama's slime-ball political tactics.

The whole thing is just ridiculous. I dont see Romneys 'plans' to bring about positive change and all I see from Obama is personal attacks. Its all tit for tat and in the end the country is STILL facing debt crisis, unemployment, the housing market is only barely shored up, economic growth is dismal...this is going to be an ugly 3 months. Only positive thing is the countdown clock for the NFL.

The whole campaigns been driving me crazy a bit. I put the Romney campaign and Republicans so far this season farther into the doghouse for dishonest spin while I put the Obama campaign and the Democrats farther into the doghouse for low class politics and distraction smears. Neither are good, and both I think are going to make this election season drag on at a ridiculously slogging pace that I think is going to likely depress voter turnout overall compared to 08

You know what makes it worse? 1.5 billion at least will be spent by the candidates alone. Get ready to turn your TV on for the Obama/Romney hour, every hour, every day.

Seriously, Romney of all people is complaining about dishonest campaigning? And does he really think whining and crying is an effective campaign strategy?

Isn't that funny ****? No one on either side has any right to complain.

It's about time Romney stopped waiting for the media to do their job, and finally said what 10's of millions of American like myself felt was long overdue.

Exit question: How long before someone calls what Romney said "racist?"

LOL Romney has just as bad attack ads, if not worse... if Obama is a slimeball, then so is Romney. Plus the right has been using attack ads and worse against Obama since before he whipped their ass in 2008.

I find this stupid as well. The idea that Republicans can now bitch are mud slinging is just crazy. THE 2008 OBAMA CAMPAIGN WAS NOTHING BUT SMEARS. NOW REPUBLICANS CALL FOUL PLAY? FOCKING HYPOCRITES! The worst part Romney has been slinging mud since March, and now conservatives now want to bitch? Hey republicans and conservatives like Sarah Palin would say, "MAN THE FOCK UP!" :beat

Romney's no pure angel in this either, but you're seriously playing dumb to slimy or lying attacks being done from the left as well?

Romney bullies gays because of something from 50 years ago?

Romney did bully a fellow student, which he has apologised for though he won't admit it, other students who were there claimed he bullied the boy because he was seen as gay.

Romney's cruel to animals with the dog on the roof thing?

Romney did put his dog on the car. Some people think it's cruelty, others think it's nothing. It doesn't change the fact.

Romney's essentially Dr. Manhattan, causing cancer and making women die?

Again, the ad presents the facts. People can interpret how they will. The guy was fired by a firm bought by Bain, his wife did die of cancer. No where was it claimed that Romney cause cancer or make anyone die. That is a silly and extreme interpretation spinned by the Republicans as a counter-attack. I read the ad as citing an example of how Republican policies on healthcare (which Romney choose to endorse by distancing himself from Romneycare) and the pursuit of capitalist profit at any cost can affect people, but that guy was far from a good example, there are plenty of others who are real victims of the kind of policies pursued by the Republicans, and Romney probably have no notion or concerns for them.

Could Romney be a felon? I'm just asking the question!

Romney didn't pay taxes for ten years because some guy who I won't reveal told me and if you want me to prove it well....Romney should release his tax returns!

Do you have evidence that Reid was lying about having a source? If not, to claim that Reid was lying would make your post the same kind of lie as you claim his comment is. I agree it's a slimy attack on the Democrat's part, and a brilliant one too, but Romney could make a fool of them all by simply releasing his tax returns as Obama released his birth certificates.

Mitt Romney specifically calls out to Racists.

The Romney campaign has made many "slips" that could be construed as racist, if they don't want to be accused of such, stop using veiled references to Obama as being foreign, non-American, or talk about "anglo-saxon heritage", those kind of talks are geared towards a specific group of electorates. They give the smoke, the democrats claim fire.

Romney likes firing people.

That attack was mostly the work of his own Republican challengers during the primaries. But honestly do you believe that Romney would hesitate to fire people to cut costs at a company he bought? Do you believe that Romney have a problem with outsourcing? Romney gloried in the success those business strategy brought him.

Ad's using a Ann Romney's Dressage horse to mock Romney.

Again it's the truth that the costs associated with that was claimed as a loss. More than that, there' s nothing wrong with pointing out the extravagance of their lifestyle compared to the average Americans, especially when one of the main arguement advanced by the Democrats against Romney is that he is informed by his experience as a rich financier with little understanding of how the average American live and work. His wife could afford to spend more money on horses a year than most people have to feed their family, and his favored tax policy is to cut the taxes he and people like him have to pay, paid for by cutting programmes which he deemed unimportant, though he has yet to say what those are.

You call it "mocking", well then he deserves to be "mocked" by the truth, there's nothing dishonest or slimy about that.

Hillary Rosen's comments about Ann Romney and stay at home moms.

Her comments was taken out of context in as much as Romney's comment about liking to fire people was. It was the Republicans who pushed the claim that Rosen was attacking Ann Romney as a stay at home Mum, there's no good for Democrats in doing that, and they quickly repudiated it. Ann Romney does not understand how the average American family deals with money problems, she spends more than they earn on her horses in a year.

Biden's recent allusion to "putting ya'll in chains".

This might pass for low class slimy attack, meat for the base, like the Romney campaign's veiled comments for their bigoted or birther base.

That's just quickly off the top of my head

Seriously....the Romney campaign has hardly been a shining beacon of policy driven, spin-free potlics, but you're really going to sit here and play dumb to the notion that the Democrats or Obama's campaign have done similarly slimy or dishonest things?

If that's all you can think of, the Obama campaign has done better than some of the outright lies told by the Romney campaign, most of that list are just you going to the extreme interpretation, the same talking point from Republicans, in order to attack Obama back.

Whining? Crying? Did we watch the same video?

Oh, I forgot that's how you folks label people who speak the truth about the politicians you support.

He's attacking Obama for attacking him for attacking Obama for attacking him.

Have you not been following along.

10 of millions?? Fox doesn't have that many viewers.

How is the selective outrage working for you Grim?

You can't even admit I was right when I predicted the left would accuse Romney of racism over those remarks.

How pathetic.

the left would accuse Romney of racism.

Except it wasn't "The Left" it was a dude on MSNBC...

Jesus some people from both sides accuse the other of Racism all the time.

I don't know how many times I've seen Obama accused of being a racist... but when that happens you are silent.

Why is this?

What's the matter? Can't use my original quote because it makes you look like an ass? Well here it is:

Exit question: How long before someone calls what Romney said "racist?"

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the guy on MSNBC qualifies as a "someone".

What do you think?

LOL

Good grief, if the going gets too rough he could always get on his bicycle and go on a mission to get away from it all. That is what he has always done in the past to escape scary scenarios.

Who is the "left"?

Who is the "left"?

Grim is ok with the right making racist statement all the time. since they have been doing it since 1800s. When the left calls them out with it, then there is a problem. The truth is the right are the racist party. Just look at the tea party.

That's the sound of a bully who got punched in the nose... now he declares himself a victim.

4 years of casting President Obama elected by a majority of this country as the socialist, Marxist, foreigner, other... and they're appalled by 1 day of hyper partisan rhetoric?

And they express their opinion by using terms like "slime-ball" and "beneath the office"?

It don't get more silly than this...

weakminded handwringing lefties tend to call anyone who doesn't kneel at the altar of affirmative action "racists"

same with those of us who note that 6% of the population causes most of the murder and gun violence

And not one of them with the honesty to admit that I was right when I said that someone would say Romney's comments were racist... NOT ONE.

It really says it all about the folks on the left around here.
