Romney and Ryan are now officially using the "elect us if you want to find out what we will do to middle class taxes" approach.

Paul Ryan Will Talk About Tax Policy 'In The Light Of Day' -- After The Election

Independent analysts have concluded that the Ryan budget, and the few things Romney has been willing to admit about his tax plan, both include raising taxes on the middle class and cutting them for the rich:

Romney and Ryan understandably would rather not talk about that, so they are opting to keep the details of their plan secret until after the election.

Please post a copy of the Obama 2008 tax plan or even a copy of the Obama 2013 tax plan.

I see, Obama gets a free pass but Romney and Ryan must be evil if they don’t provide the same things Obama refuses to provide.

What a political hack homer tool you are.

Er, what? Obama has published tons of specific proposals about taxes... They've all been major news stories. Surely you're aware of them. The Buffet rule, his proposal to extend the Bush tax cuts for the middle class, but let them expire for the rich, etc... Here are some of the details on the plan he released during the 2008 campaign:

Income Tax
Maintain current tax rates of 10% to 28% for most Americans. Reinstate top tax rates of 36% and 39.6% on joint income of more than $250,000 ($200,000 for individuals).

Capital Gains/Dividends
Maintain maximum rate of 15% for most taxpayers. Boost top rate to 20% for investors with income of more than $250,000. Under current law, taxpayers in the two lowest income-tax brackets pay zero capital gains in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Eliminate capital-gains taxes on start-ups and small businesses to encourage innovation.

Retirement Accounts
Suspend mandatory distributions for those 70 and older. Permit taxpayers to withdraw up to $10,000 from retirement accounts penalty-free; withdrawals would still be subject to income taxes.

New Tax Cuts
Tax credit of up $1,000 to offset Social Security taxes for low-wage earners. Eliminate income tax for seniors making less than $50,000. Double the tax credit for college expenses to $4,000. Create a 10% mortgage tax credit for those who don’t itemize. Provide a $1,000 rebate funded by a windfall-profits tax on oil companies to offset high energy costs.

AMT
Maintain current exemption and index to inflation.

Estate Tax
Set exclusion at $3.5 million per person ($7 million per couple); keep rate at 45%.

Social Security
Maintain current wage base of $106,800, indexed for inflation. Impose additional tax of 2% to 4% paid by employers and employees on earnings exceeding $250,000 — but delay implementation for at least ten years.

Corporate Tax
Keep top rate at 35%; close corporate loopholes.

Highlights of President-Elect Barack Obama's Tax Plan

Since then, of course, he has been president for 3 years, has proposed budgets that include far more detail multiple times, has backed a long list of tax proposals, etc... So I'm not really sure what you're talking about.

Let me remind you that in 2010, Obama signed an extension of the “Bush Tax Cuts” because, as he put it, the economic recovery was too fragile to do a tax increase on anyone.

Obama isn’t running against the Bush tax cuts anymore, he already voted to extend those tax cuts, thereby making them his own for the last 2 years. He likes to blame those “Bush” tax cuts for “what got us into this mess in the first place” but he never owns his own actions like real leaders do and always blames others for his misfortune.

Oh, let me also remind you that Obama promises the sky but delivers excuses. This is his proven record.

As for the Obama budget, if it was so awesome, why did it get fewer democrat votes than Ryan’s budget.

I know I’m doing a lot of reminding here but you clearly aren’t educated on the issues so let me remind you of the fact that neither the Obama budget or the Ryan budget is what we are voting on in this election because both died before becoming law and neither bill is what the other is running on is it?

You did take government 101 and political science 101 right? You do understand that the Obama budget is just as dead as the Ryan budget right? You do understand that Obama and Romney and Ryan will/must write new budgets now right?

I know you think you’re smart but sometimes 49ers fans can be a little thick and need a little more explaining before they get what’s really going on.

So what exactly is Romney running on again? The only thing I see is Ryan's proposal to beat the broken and sell their blood to cut taxes on the rich.

I guess that’s what liberal sheep think. You must be proud of your command of the "real" facts. (I’m being sarcastic)
I mean, you saw them on an Obama TV ad or website. Good thing you are here to educate us.

When you flatten the tax code, you have to negotiate on what stays and what goes and that is linear with the changes to the tax rate of the upper portion so that the two equal out and avoidance becomes useless.

Promising to get specific with what changes you want to make is pointless because it has to be wrangled out through congress. Or I guess if you are Obama you just EO it and do what you want, which he has been lately.

I assume that you know that was a hoax, right? A REPUBLICAN introduced a budget with the same top line numbers as Obama's budget, but none of the details, and he CALLED IT "Obama's budget". Obama himself and Democratic leadership all told everybody to vote against it because it was a fake and they did. You know that, right?

Maybe you need to re-read at least the title of this thread kiddo.
