Yep, not a good pick if Romney was looking for a quick bump. I think most people don't really know who Ryan is. Will be interesting to see what happens when they start to find out....
Yep. Paul's definitely not a quick bump pick. I don't know if he'll even turn out to be a bump in any fashion...but the one plausible way would be a steady one down the line as he begins to get some air time to talk.
Depending on what the poll was asking I'd possibly be on either side of that 42%. If you asked me politically, I'd say it's a poor pick. If you asked me personally, I'd say it's a good pick. But it definitely isn't a "big splash" pick. Though the only "big splash" ones that I think would've existed in this cycle would've been a Rubio or Christie
No, the 42% were mostly Democrats. It's mostly Democrats who think it is a horrible choice due to their simple understanding of politics. Not all independents are moderates.By the looks of it, that 58% were mostly Democrats. LOL
This poll means nothing, it’s going to come down to if Romney and Ryan can keep the pressure on Obama’s record, and the problems we are now facing.
Obama can’t run on hope and change again …. The change was little and most of it disliked, hope is nearly dead. If Romney and Ryan get on the offensive and make Obama defend his record Obama is a one term president. If Obama can continue to put pressure on Romney / Ryan and keep the debate off things like the economy, the deficit, the unemployment, and our debt then he wins ..
Obama only needs to focus on who has the better vision for America. When people hear the details of the Paul Ryan plan, they are overwhelmingly opposed to it. Obama simply needs to let the people know what Ryan's plan is for America and how Romney endorses it.
Agree to that. Obama needs to focus on vague platitudes and let the democrat-run media lie/obfuscate him into office, like he did last election (hopey-changey bull****), since there is no substance to the man or his policies other than pure despotism.
Back then even Democrats thought she was a good choice.
Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan’s favorables are up after the first blush of national media exposure following Mitt Romney’s selection of him as his vice presidential running mate. But as is generally the case with running mates, Ryan gives only a slight boost to Romney.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters now have a favorable opinion of Ryan, while 32% view him unfavorably. This includes 29% with a Very Favorable view of Romney’s vice presidential pick and 13% with a Very Unfavorable one. Only 13% are now unfamiliar with Ryan, and five percent (5%) are not sure about him.

In a USA Today/Gallup poll out today Paul Ryan is considered by 42 percent of Americans only a "fair" or "poor" choice for Mitt Romney's vice president— a higher number than that of registered voters who put Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin in the same categories after their selection was announced.
This can't be good for the Romney supporters who were hoping for a big boost. Now you know why us Democrats are delighted with the pick.

Laughable debunked poll
The far left and MSM are getting desperate
Look at the samples. What a joke.
Biden is one of the least intellectually capable men to ever hold the office. Far less intelligent than even Dan Quayle. Biden uses almost 40 years of experience in government speak to pretend he is intelligent.
he was a loser as a student, he flunked the bar and has been sucking on the public teat for almost all his adult life
no wonder why people like you worship him
You are incorrect. Obama backers by and large think that this is a fantastic selection. It is the moderate Republicans that are scratching their heads and saying WTF was he thinking!

I know the poll doesn't mean anything, just from the nature of what it's asking, but what's wrong with the methodology of it?
