Obama wants his college records off the table [W:254/301]

Yes but not millions. A relatively small amount of the 2.6 million he payed Perkins Coie was used on eligibility lawsuits. Beyond that, it is likely that his primary purpose for fighting to get most of those suits dismissed was not to hide his documents.

you have no way of knowing how much of the money went to defend against which suits. The point is that he has, and is, paying lawyers to keep any of these suits from being heard in open court where the documents would have to be produced.

If there is nothing to hide, why not let it come to trial and make all of the people questioning him look like fools?

No President Has Ever Done So.

For the millionth ****ing time.

Bush, Clinton, H. Clinton, Kerry, Edwards, Gore. I realize that some of those were not presidents but their educational and work histories were made public.

Besides Bush's Yale transcripts that got leaked illegally, if you can show me ANY Of those other presidents college transcripts I'll eat my own hat.

I have asked you to produce these records before and you have failed to do so in the past.

Let's see if today will be different.

Again (for the millionth time), there is no need to spend money defending lawsuits that haven't been filed. So unless or until you can tell us about even ONE lawsuit that's been filed to unseal his college records, you are purely jabbering out of your nether regions. And yes ... lawsuit filings are public record, so....

I guess I could take the typical approach that liberals take and demand that you prove that they weren't made public. But I will do the research for you. After lunch.

Oh I look forward to it lol.

come on adam, any of the eligibility lawsuits would immediately request college records as part of the discovery process. Perkins Coie has been very effective in preventing any of those suits from reaching that stage.

I would have to say that they are doing a very good job for the money that obama is paying them.

His college records are completely irrelevant to his birth certificate and have nothing to do with eligibility, so if they were requested the request would simply be denied. In other words, you can't establish that he's spent one thin dime to prevent his college records from being unsealed.

Nope, wrong again. In any of the eligibility suits it would be very important to see the college applications and admission forms, because those would have to identity country of birth, nationality, etc. So you just don't (or won't) understand the issue. Its not his grades or dipolomas, its the admission documents. The lawyers are protecting those documents by fighting to keep all of the suits from being heard in open court.

so thats "millions".... since when has 2.6 million been a small amout.. I thought Obama was "the every man. middle class"?? lol

Most of that 2.6 million was payed for normal legal fees involving closing out a campaign. McCain payed 1.6 million in legal fees and his campaign was decidedly smaller than Obama.

Again (and again, and again), his college records would be completely irrelevant in a suit seeking the disclosure of his birth certificate. If those documents were requested, the response would be, "Complainant hereby OBJECTS to the Defendants' Discovery on the grounds that said Discovery is overbroad, vague, overly burdensome, requests irrelevant, immaterial or inadmissible information or information protected by privilege."

If the suit wasn't dismissed immediately (highly unlikely), it would be handled in a motion to compel, and the request would be summarily denied. Total cost for that line-item: probably about $20 when you figure in the time it takes to copy and paste the objection and show up for a short hearing.

Wow, you used some legal terms, But you used them in a failed attempt to make an invalid point.

But the fact remains, Obama refuses to let the american voters know the details of his past. The other fact here is that you obamabots don't care, and that is a tragedy.

Like I said -- a straight up trade: Romney puts up his college records + 12 years of tax returns and I'm sure Obama will be happy to see him by kicking in his college records.

obama should make the offer. I am sure Romney would take it. But obama won't be making that offer will he? Your hero must have a lot to hide. Don't you even wonder what it is?
