I don't believe the people we elect are our real leaders so why should I care?

I'll vote, but I'm not gonna be sucked into voting democrat or republican.

Given that either Obama or Romney is going to be president, I don't care. America is screwed either way.

I feel like electoral politics is just like a football game. We root for our team, but we don't know why :)

I've often used the rival sports team analogy myself. It's not about governing, it's about beating THEM because THEY are BAD.

Are you a socialist, or just a bohemian bourgeois hipster?

One of them doesn't vote because it's unsatisfying. The other doesn't vote because it isn't cool.

Attitude makes all the difference.

I did say I was gonna vote. But I'm probably going to vote for a third party.

That's a weird question though. I'm a socialist but I'm not a hipster I don't think?

Yes, I didn't understand that either. Why would you do something if you don't care?

What do you mean by the last three words?

I'm going to vote because I believe in the power of a vote, even if it is for a candidate who has no chance of winning. If more people voted for a third party, it would make the election results more precarious and raise more questions of the validity of our current system.

Also, I don't think it's right for you to judge me since you don't know a single thing about me. Just saying.

The ONLY reason that I care is because of the Supreme Court. Romney would appoint ultra-conservative activist judges to the bench that will seek to take away a woman's right to choice and will be hostile towards gay and other civil rights. The balance on the court is already very shaky. An Obama presidency will likely result in at least 1 or possibly 2 Supreme Court appointments which will protect the Supreme Court from falling into the hands of right-wing extremists, at least for the rest of my life. A Romney Presidency would very likely tilt the balance, which is why voting for Obama, whether you agree with him on everything is extremely important in this election.

I care but I don't lose sleep over it. The crazy thing is I see good and bad in both. The question for me is where do the issues rank to me in order of importance. A big issue but not the only issue for me has been the divisive tactics of the highly influential GOP commentators.

I root for The Bears because I like their uniform and fight song.

And Greenbay is a bunch of $#@&%&(*^&%^*

I care.....except when the two candidates both have liberal track records.

The biggest difference is that with Obama, you know what you are getting. Romney is such a flip-flopper you never know exactly where he stands on any issue.

Negativity has worked. Everyone but a few single issue partisans drop out and allow the worse of us to decide. Sad how easy it is to defeat us.
