Why Liberals Should NOT Vote For Obama

That Rick Thune has any interest in supplying people who visit his website an accurate picture of Obama policies.

I dispute that Fox News is Fair and Balanced.

The sources are so extremely partisan, it's a conversation stopper. Like saying, "Let's talk sensibly about homosexuality and gay rights by asking Fred Phelps what he thinks."

As I thought you have nothing to dispute with facts. Thank you.

Yeah...as if. I just don't get the OP's logic, if we are supposed to reject Obama, then what does Romney offer to attract our vote?

Maybe Bro hasn't thought this out....you suppose?

Something silly... like a 40 year careers worth of executive leadership in business, non governmental organizations, and government in which he proved successful EVERY SINGLE TIME of creating growth, achieving hard objectives, making the necessary cuts to turn fiscal crises around, job creation, balancing budgets, responsible management of large scale construction projects, working with people from different parties and backgrounds to collaborate and cooperate effectively to get things done, etc. Ya know... all that inconsequential stuff a president doesn't need to know how to do...

Oh jeez, and that other silly thing... a list of actual accomplishments prior to taking office... Including saving the Olympics, Managing the largest construction project in US History, Creating and managing a multinational company, creating the first ever successfully functioning universal healthcare system without adding costs for the government or creating a large overarching beaurocracy to manage it, balancing the largest budget deficit in his state's history and turning it into nearly an equally as large rainy day fund within two years, etc.

I feel the GDP is a seriously flawed measurement Rob. Bush took office during a recession. The economy was still wobbly at the time of 9/11 and then took a good hit from that. That is not reflected in the GDP anywhere. It should be though. But if as you say things really need to be screwed up badly, then even with just murky economies, the GDP does not show a true picture of the economy.

From 2002 to 2007 the value of my house increased by 35k. I didn't do a thing to it during that time. Housing bubble, we all know this.... I have since made some cosmetic changes to the interior, and after the bubble burst, I am almost back to the 2002 value. And NY homes have not declined nearly as much as other areas, especially Fl. Being that the housing bubble is a big reason for the big GDP during the Bush years, It would then make sense that the GDP should not be going up at the same rate now as it did during the Bush years when Housing is still down significantly, along with most other labor. GDP as it is being measured currently is not an accurate picture of the economy.

I'll agree that GDP isn't THE stat but it is a stat. It's not extremely sensative to day to day occurances for sure but it is really heavy and telling stat when it heads south.

You mean, like it is right now under Obama? ;)

Yeah, we think so, too...

And yet when I examine his actual record, I don't see evidence of his holding to those practices or living up to that hype. As we have already shown, his results in Mass was not impressive when citizens were leaving the state because of its weak job growth, his balancing the budgets were matters of shifting the cost via fees (very regressive)....and his signature program, health care, is now something he distances himself from while calling for its destruction on the national level.

Further, he has gone full neocon on foreign relations (we have seen the horror flick before) and he just can't help but to shoot himself in one foot and the other is firmly placed in his mouth while on his Euro vacation (again, a re-run of that movie).

Sorry....no sale.

LMFAO @ no sale... as if you even went in the store...

Your analysis of Romney's record is heavily flawed and biased, considering 1) how you came to it, 2) the sources you tend to value, and 3) you liberal view of the world...

Romney is by FAR the better candidate in comparison with Obama... and objective minds in the middle will decide this election in the fall comparing Romney's record and Obama's and realizing that $16T in debt, 8% unemployment, and $3.50/gal of gas isn't cutting it...

Let us pray that people will see the clear choice and vote for the much better person for the job... Mitt Romney.

I was window shopping, and the mannequin appeared to be a plastic, empty shell with a suite, it's recorded voice kept skipping and a dog had urinated on its leg. It did have nice hair though....

I knew you couldn't let that "who is the more attractive candidate" poll pass by without getting teenie girl over it...

This thread could be easily summarized as "Liberals shouldn't vote for Obama because Republicans and a Republican pretending to be an Independent say so." - Now I'm really convinced. Really.

I dispute that Fox News is Fair and Balanced.

Then prove it.

I bet you can't find a lie told by Fox that you can prove was false beyond a reasonable doubt.

Both sides find graphs and stats to support how much better their guy is than the other. Is anyone else at the point where they just tune out when they see graphs being posted?

Sorry....no sale.

And you held Obama to what standard exactly?

Only when you love your guy and want to berry your head in the sand to ignore facts.

Another one ignoring the facts when it comes to performance. Yeah the economy is exploding with 10% GDP and unemployment is down to 3%.

Please compare to the last Republican president's opening and closing figures on the same metrics, and then we'll talk about "logic" and "reality."

Would be relevant if the last republican president was running in this race. Just checked, he is NOT.

I believe you are mistaken. Check the proposed policies and get back to me.

And the Republican running this year is a RINO.

Granted. But it seems funny to me that republicans find him to much like a democrat and democrats think he is to conservative. Add the fact that the public wants congress and the president to do something which will take principled compromise.

Just did, you are mistaken. Shock

Sure?

Increase military spending ... rattle sabre at Iran: check!

Restart cold war with Russia: check!

Same foreign policy team: check!

Huge tax cuts primarily benefitting the wealthy: check!

Eliminate the estate tax: check!

Drill baby drill: check!

Same energy team: check!

Same legal team that brought us "enhanced interrogation": check!

Hmmm, seems like the same guy to me.

Only when you love your guy and want to berry your head in the sand to ignore facts.

Seeing as how Obama isn’t “my guy” and I am not voting for him and that I feel the same way when the charts and graphs paint the Republicans in a negative light, I doubt that is the reason.
