Romney violates agreement with the media[W:53]

Re: Romney violates agreement with the media

LMFAO @ this is real world and not some action movie...

In the real world, there is a small amount of these violent jihadist terrorists, who actually just want to remove Israel from the face of the earth... and they're determined to get a nuclear weapon so that they can do it with just 1 bomb... They've been kidnapping people, hijacking planes, bombing planes, bombing residences of wealthy/influential people, etc. for decades now...

That's not some strange fiction movie, that's the reality of the situation, and why the State Department warns against US citizens traveling to many parts of the earth, because these terrorists have ties to other terrorist organizations and connections all over the world to comit these acts of terror...

I know in the liberal mind, terrorism ended after Bush sent troops into Iraq, which you believe was to get oil (eventhough the oil was given to the Iraqi people)... Now anyone who wants to stop terrorism is just a "Neo Con" or a "Warhawk"...

In the meantime, there are numerous terrorist events that happen often worldwide to little press coverage...

For many people, in many parts of the earth... the reality is that they have to travel with armed guards carrying machine guns, to react in the event of some form of political violence...

Sorry, but that was not for the donors as was already pointed out. Plain and simple.

When you choose to come back to reality instead of some action movie, let us know.

As for your other rhetoric regarding liberals, I'm sorry you are too embarrased to call yourslef what you are and that is a conservative that you have to resort to lies about me and what I believe. Show me one post that supports what you said liar.

The real lie is you calling yourself a centrist when you are about as centrist as the Westboro church.

Moderator's Warning:
Trolling, baiting, discussing other posters including their lean, all of it needs to end now. Stick to the topic and only the topic.

Re: Romney violates agreement with the media

So Obama lying is bad, Romney lying is good.

Love Republican logic. :lamo

Its naive to think politicians, regardless of their political party affiliation, are immune to lying.

Oh but you conservatives have been complaining about Obama's so called lying, so why would you do that when it's something you expect?

Do you think allowing reporters into a fund raiser on foreign soil is a lie when Romney promised not to talk negatively about the current President while on Foreign soil. Looks to me that Romney kept his promise, something other former Democrat Presidents should learn

So you're saying he lied to keep from lying. Got it.

So called lying...

@ 1:58

Reporter: "Robert, why were we not told about this meeting and that the Senator would not be on this plane until after the doors were shut, and we were about to taxi to take off?"

Robert Gibbs (Obama's press secretary): "Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah... You know... Again... ah, ah, ah... We had a desire, Senator Obama had a desire to do some meetings, and others had a desire to meet with him tonight in a private way... and that's what we're doing"

Reporter (different): "Well you could've just had us sit on the plane, so we could still be in the same city, and he could still do it privately, but at least we wouldnt be in the air during the duration..."

Robert Gibbs: "I understand" (smirking)

Reporter (same one again): "What's the rationale behind us leaving?"

Robert Gibbs: "Uh... So we can get back to Chicago."

Reporter (same one again): "that would be for your benefit... I mean, it's not..."

Robert Gibbs: "Well not necessarily for my benefit... I, uh... uh, uh, uh, my apartments gonna be the same"

Reporters (multiple): "But we need to be where the candidate is, we have a job we need to do..."

Robert Gibbs: "Well maybe it is for my benefit" (chuckling & smirking)

Reporter (different one): "Who made the decision?"

Reporter (first one again): "Who made the decision that we would leave in a separate plane, who would we complain to?"

Robert Gibbs: "That guy looks like me..." (Chuckling & smirking again)

Now, that very campaign is trying to attack Romney for wanting to have a fundraiser in Israel with some donors in private because it would keep the press out...

Believe it or not, people don't conform to stereotypes. You should broaden your view of the world.

As to why "some" conservatives complain about Obama's lying on specific statements or policy points, its really quite simple: Its fun watching his supporters get their panties in a bunch. The gyrations the staunch Obama supporters make are quite funny, and I'm sure that's why Thunder makes his posts complaining about Romney.

They are politicians. Its what we expect.

So two wrongs make a right?

This is the main reason we have the government we do. Because people are not only willing to accept politicians lying to them, they give money to them to do it. And people wonder why America is failing.

Partisan politics > what's best for America.

could be however the claim is insignificant as it remains the economy and the Obama economic results, not a supposed lie Romney made to reporters on foreign soil. Let's see how he handles the press here in this country on American soil.

This thread is about Romney, so please feel free to **** in another thread and regurgitate your partisan rhetoric there. Thanks in advance! :peace

Re: Romney violates agreement with the media

So two wrongs make a right?

Firstly, Romney's camp was not in the wrong... they have every right to have a private meeting, and did not lie about it...

Secondly, Obama's camp was heavily in the wrong, for intentionally decieving the press to go off to a meeting of a secret organization of elite bankers who try to control global policy... and in some ways, holding them captive against their will... If I was one of those reporters, I would've filed charges for kidnapping, and charges for preventing them access to do their work...

Thirdly... Obama's camp has now added an entirely different wrong in the hypocrisy of their attacks, when their candidate, who claims to be the most transparent president in history, yet, perpetually has secret meetings as such, wants to attack his oponent for having an open announced meeting in private...

So that's Romney 0 wrongs, to Obama 2 giant wrongs... on just this issue alone (and no this isn't golf, the guy with the highest score is actually the worst presidential candidate)...

Regardless of the thread facts will always get in the way of your partisan liberal feelings.

Any one else remember the conservative outrage when they heard Obama had people raising funds oversees? Funny how that outrage died down when Romney is doing it.

Re: Romney violates agreement with the media

Not what I argued at all. All politicians are going to break campaign promises, because all of them have demonstrated that they do so. I didnt argue the good or bad of it by party, I only argued that they do so. Because Im not foolish enough to think politicians of either party are without fault or error. Quite the opposite.

I expect that some campaign promises made by Romney are going to be broken, I know some made by Obama already have been, this is the way of politics. It is what it is.

Re: Romney violates agreement with the media

Just goes to show what happens when you take an Obama supporters post at face value, normally it is distorted and wrong which appears to be the case once again.

An attempt to downplay the importance of shutting out the media after Romney had earlier (back in April) promised transparency didn't work out to well.

Following multiple complaints, not only from American but Israeli media, the donor meeting was opened to reporters.

Re: Romney violates agreement with the media

Looks like Mitt's rep. is doing his best to heal Romney's fractured relationship with the press by telling the press corps to "kiss my ass" and by telling a CNN reporter to "shove it." :lamo
