What will be Obama's main thrust during the campaign? [W:202/271]

I'm wondering what Obama's strategy will be this year. What do Obama supporters feel comfortable upholding as "job well done"-type things?

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that he got bin Laden. However, it is debatable whether or not anyone else would have done the same thing given the same circumstances. (I am firmly convinced that had Bush gone into Pakistan unannounced, Libs would be screaming their heads off and tearing out their hair about how W violated the sovereignty of another nation and that he should have included Pakistan in the takedown.)

Basically, what are Obama supporters proud of? Why does "their guy" deserve to be their guy? Convince me.
It's time to start telling the government that they have enough money. Perhaps they should start spending it more wisely.

obama has had a horribly rough month, but he will rebound, with a new strategy at some point.

but if things stay the same direction for him come november, probably the only thing he would have going for him is i killed obl and atleast your not on fire.

oh and another thing, last i read obamas popularity is dropping fast worldwide due to drone strikes that violate international law and poor handling of the us/eu economic situations.even his apology tours dont seem to work much anymore!!!

If the economy starts to turn around, he'll look better to the general public. I think this is still the #1 issue for voters. If this happens, and I were one of his advisors, I'd tell him to work the "things are getting better" strategy.

His main thrust will be pointing out the uncanny similarities between Romney and the man he replaced.

What are Obama supporters proud of? Why does he DESERVE to be the President? Logic says the answer to this question should be his campaign's highlight reel.

    If he's smart he will.

But then Romney has a lot of ammo on the failures of Obama's presidency.

    If he uses it wisely.

Obama has received his share of cheers for his vocalized "support" for gay marriage and the hiatus he placed on younger undocumented aliens being deported. Everyone knows these are just ineffective election year gestures to garner votes, which are practiced by many politicians.

I call it throwing darts. He's hoping for something to stick in a big way. However, he can't run on slogans any more like "hope and change." We all found out that hope and change is not an effective plan of action to get the USA moving toward economic growth and prosperity.

I also wonder though how long he will be able to convince swing voters it's the republicans fault or its GWB's fault that he isn't a more effective leader.

It will be interesting to see the outcome in November.

He is going to play the things such as gays in the military and a more accepting stance on gay marriage to the hit. He is going to need every last social liberal he can get to nail down a 2nd term. As for the economy, unless something drastic happens in the positive way, which is all but a certainty NOT to happen, he can only run on the how bad it was and how he saved the country from a 1930's depression. (most libs are still believing this) but can he get the moderates on board with this? He is also going to do everything he can to paint a rosier picture of the economy than what it really is. Here is the problem though, too many conservative outlets are going to counter this with the truth.

He can run on that he passed the HC bill, but its going to be hard to run on it being good. Its losing what popularity it did have so that is going to be more of an elephant on his back, as is the economy because after 4 years, the "It's my predecessors fault" just won't work.

To be honest, and most liberals do know this, they are catching a major break this year with the weakness of the GOP, and the less than inspiring POS they nominated to run against Obama.

It appears it will be the same thing it has already been: Romney bad, me good. GOP hates you, I love you.
