Colorado Poll: Obama 49, Romney 42

Wow, Colorado is a battleground state and one that Hussein Obama won in 2008........This would be a huge win for Romney if it holds....

Uh....if it "holds" it would be a seven point win for Obama.....DOH!

And it really isn't much different than 2008....Obama won by 8% over McCain. I suspect this one will be closer, there are a lot of Mormons in Colorado....but Obama will win this one...you can take it to y our bankrupt bank NP.

Did you mis-read the article again and think it had it Romney by 7?

Wait, I'm confused. Why would this be good for Romney is Obama is winning?

Hussein Obam's lead has been cut in half and is shrinking fast.......

Nice try Navy......I think you misread the title and thought it was the other way around.....wouldn't be the first time.

The reality is, it is about where it was against McCain....yawn......nothing to see here. I suspect that with all the mormons in Colorado it will get closer and will be closer than McCain, but Obama will absolutely carry Colorado.

Greeley is also the cause of that "smell" that wafts through the front range when the wind blows in from the east.

Yup, I used to live not six blocks from the Swift plant, right downtown.

When I first smelled the Greeley Breeze, I thought someone was cooking hamburgers. Then someone told me that's all the blood and the hide they're a boiling down for rendering.

Fncking.

Gross.

I don't think so. Obama right now is pretty much at the lowest point he's been at all year. Being up 7 in Colorado despite that, especially now that the GOP has chosen its nominee, is good news for him. Of course, PPP's polls have leaned a little bit to the left compared to the polling aggregate so far, and I expect that his lead is somewhere in between 7 and the tie that the right-leaning Rasmussen shows.

Gary Johnson is having some effect there, as well as in some other surrounding states.

Your analysis is solid.

Only Navy Pride would show a poll with Romney losing by almost double digits and proclaim how GREAT it is for the Republicans. LOL!

Never underestimate the enemy. They have trillions in limbo and they will spend what they have to buy this election and keep the peasants down on the farm for generations to come. Might not hurt to learn to speak Chinese, just in case.

Complacency leads to doom.

As I know you live and die by polls and have your own unique analysis, I'm sure you have seen this one....

RealClearPolitics - Election 2012 - General Election: Romney vs. Obama

Of course, for consistency, I must state that polls, at this point, mean very little... (especially overall polls, as this is a state by state deal).... even when they have Obama up by 13.

Of course, for you to be consistent, I suppose in your "live and die" world, this is a good day to die.

[some awful meme]

Leaving out the fact that Obma attended a madrassa, had a picture which showed him in a tradional arabic style ceremonial dress, and answered a question on TV by stating "[Jon McCain] is not attacking my muslim religion"... nor the fact that most of the religious criticism that Obama faced had more to do with the Church he was in, with Rev. Jeremiah Wright... and the Black Liberation Theology that he seems to follow... Let's also not kid ourselves by the origin of the name Hussein, because it sure isn't Africa...

You also fail to criticize the religion that says the earth was created in 7 days... by the same guy who then took a rib out of the first man and created a woman out of it (totally excluding the guy's first wife, lilith)... who then told Noah to build an arc, and fill it with 2 of each animal, and put them all on this boat, which he somehow was able to round up 2 of every animal here on earth (despite the fact that many of them come from separate continents), and convince them to ignore the laws of nature, and stop killing each other for food over this 40 day long period, where rains flooded and covered the land, killing everyone off, except Noah, his wife, and his amazing managerie... where then there is this evil plague of death that sweeps over Egypt one night, killing thousands off, except the ones who smeared lambs blood on their doors... the same one where the guy leads his people through the desert, until they reached the Red Sea, which suddenly opened up and let them get through, but then flooded over the Egyptians coming after them... then later this same guy talked to the burning bush on the mountain that turned thhis hair white was told to write 10 commandments on stone tablets, and everyone believed him about this when he came down... but then it gets believable when the virgin is impregnated by the invisible spirit, whose message was delivered by angels, that she would bear this invisible spirits kid (without having sex), and the woman's boyfriend, returned home from the fields of being a shepherd, to help her find a stable (which since they were both at home, why they needed to leave to find somewhere else to have this kid is beyond me)... but suddenly, all these great noble people came from all over to shower this miracle child with gifts... and now millions of hispanics share his same name, to this day... because of course, he could walk on water... break bread, and drink wine... but the best was when he was killed, but came back to life, and moved the giant boulder out of the way, and went back to his friends and said "April fools!", i wasn't dead... then changed his story to, okay, naw, i really am dead, but i did so on purpose so i could cleanse your sins (which begs the question, what sins were these followers of jesus commiting? The tate and la bianca murders, by chance?)... but don't worry, it doesnt matter anyway... because it's all been decided who goes to heaven and who doesn't afterall... when we all die in the lake of fire (which already occured on lake erie, and look we are still here, so it must be heaven, afterall)....

Oh, but please, do lecture me on which religion is unbelieable, and which isnt... and who it is right to question for their religious beliefs and who it isnt...

Romney's seen more than his share of unfair criticisms based on his religion, in which he likely would've been elected in 2008 if it wasnt for pamphlets circulated by Evangelical Christians who have been brought up to hate Mormons... and it still may be his undoing in 2012, though I think most people realize the mistake they made in not fully coming out against Obama the first time, that they'll wake up and stop him, not Romney...

The OP is actually disconcerting. I'll admit, I had Colorado down as one of my "will likely swing back" states.

heres a poll for you NP...has Obama ahead of romney by 13 pts...that should give you indigestion lol

President Obama has vaulted to a 13-point lead over presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney, according to a new Bloomberg poll. But before he begins writing his victory speech, Obama should note that the result is an outlier unmatched by any other major survey.

The Bloomberg poll, published Wednesday, shows the president leading Romney, 53 percent to 40 percent, among likely voters.  Other polls depict a much tighter race: Last week’s Reuters/Ipsos poll put Obama ahead of Romney by only 1 point, and Wednesday’s Gallup daily tracking poll gave Romney a 2-point edge.

Obama’s big advantage in the Bloomberg poll is in spite of results that show 53 percent of likely voters disapprove of his handling of the economy, 60 percent disapprove of his budget deficit strategy, and 62 percent say the country is on the wrong track.

Note on this poll. Even Obam campaign people admit that it is not accurate, though to be fair, any polling this far out is not representative of much.
