Obama campaign starting to think they might lose

Things just ain't lookin' good for your boy.

Democrats had taken comfort for months in the Republican Party’s seeming inability to get behind Mitt Romney, Obama’s healthy lead in the polls, and equally healthy job growth. And for a few, fleeting, moments, Democrats thought the election might just be easy. But Republican division appears to have been merely an artifact of primary politics, and Mitt Romney has proved a consistent, if unglamorous campaigner…

“There was this sense maybe a month or two ago that Obama was really riding high — that he had gotten his base behind him and the economy was doing better and it had this Clinton vs. Bob Dole 1996 feeling — that he was going to cruise,” said one 2008 Obama aide who does not work for this year’s campaign. “And now it feels like it’s going to be really tough — a 2004 race.”

In addition, the article implies that Romney is winning in Fla, Ohio, and Virginia. In the real world, Obama is beating Mitt in those states

Do you have anything besides trolling and personal attacks to add to the thread? Something, like a link? Just sayin'...

Really? I could've sworn that in the real world none of those states have voted yet, and that they do so in November... Hmmm...

(also it would take a real looney not to notice how much closer the polls are in all of the states since Romney has wrapped up the nomination)

I don't need a link. You already provided one.

See, apdst, the premise of this article is based on the opinion of one person who happens to not actually be working with the Obama '12 campaign.

The writer is clever. He provides a lot of extraneous stuff that might lead one to the conclusion that the campaign will be a tough one. (which is probably true!) However, the idea that the "Obama campaign thinks they might lose" comes from... what?

One person. Who is not on the campaign.

That said, I suspect nobody in the Obama campaign thinks a win is automatic or something. No election is "in the bag" until the polls close.

I see. So what one person says in an article is what matters and we should ignore all those people who were polled.

If you read the entire original article democratic pollster Doug Schoen attempts to warn the Obama campaign that they can't win with class warfare and trying to personally destroy Romney.

Critics inside the party and out, however, warn that Obama has a deeper problem: He hasn’t clearly communicated a simple rationale for a second term.

“They have no clear message or overarching theme other than class warfare and attack politics,” pollster Doug Schoen told BuzzFeed. ”They don't have a vision for the second term. No clear sense as to what the Administration is offering for a second term. There is widespread dissatisfaction with both parties and both candidates in primary results [Tuesday] — and no clear idea how Obama is going to unite the county and lead us forward

Re: Obama campaign starting to think they might lose

There's nothing in the article that suggests the Obama campaign thinks the President will lose, literally nothing at all. It sources no quotes from Obama staffer, nor any documents, internal communication, statements made to the press, etc from ANYTHING to do with the Obama campaign. Let me say that again, the article has no source from the Obama campaign. It points to a potential gaffe of Biden supporting gay marriage first, which I don't think is going to change how anyone views Obama/Biden. Their view on gay marriage may affect their votes, however who came out with it first isn't that important. It's amazing how people can read things so differently.

Like the website says, its a bunch of hot hair.

Oh look... a hot air opinion piece which is... full of hot air.

When you're this transparently partisan apdst, and you post stuff from a website founded by Michelle Malkin how can you honestly expect to be taken seriously?
