Will the Stock Market Unseat Obama [W:32]

WTF are you raving about? I am a Jew and I'm married to a Christian.

Funny so am I on both points. I put that person on ignore. Surprised moderators allow such filth to be spewed.

Get over it. You know most Jews think they're superior to "Gentiles." It's in their nature as they believe they're God's chosen people. You may be married to a Christian, but that doesn't tell me anything. Maybe if you only identify as Jewish culturally, you don't feel this way, but most Jews do.

But, you hate Iran, because it has a Muslim extremist leader. How is that different? Your hatred of Muslims is readily apparent. I'm just more honest about my feelings about Jews.

Having had a Jewish roommate and known many people from the Jewish neighborhoods in the Cincinnati area I can tell you this is certainly not true. God's actual chosen people is Americans. I thought everyone knew this.

Anyways to the actual point of this thread, I think the stock markets are taking a dive due to the controversy surrounding JPMorgan. If Obama and lawmakers could make any meaningful regulations and balances that would help him, otherwise this could hurt him in the short term, long term it will fizzle out.

That is pure, racist gibberish.

I think it is misguided bigotry; in the Torah it does actually say something to the effect of being the chosen people, but it also doesn't say anything about being obtuse about being the chosen persons either.

Moderator's Warning:
Just a reminder to everyone, Israel and/or Palestine is not a legitimate topic outside of the ME Forum. Any further discussions will result in infractions being handed out.

It is somewhat disappointing that the moderators on this site allow what seems to be neo-nazi hate rants. Maybe that is a price we pay for free speech and anonymous internet interactions. Even the most vile needs to be allowed.

However if this becomes infested with nuts like this it will lose it's value.

Does anyone have a view about what came out of the G* meetings today? Seemed a but vague, wonder if the markets will construe the statements as weak, or a real commitment to help out Greece.

The stock market will crash the moment Iran is attacked. Obama is headed for victory regardless of the crash.

Its already taken a dive. If it gets worse i doubt he will get re-elected.

Oh, and, yes, Iran is producing and selling less oil now because of European oil bans. I think Obama wants to ban Iranian oil, too, though don't think he has... Most of the threats seem to come from Israel so I don't see the point. Iran just wants nukes like everyone else. Doesn't seem fair to me, but, then, again, I don't hate countries just for having Muslim majorities and radical leaders. I, as a Christian, much prefer Muslims over Jews, though the Islam extremism is the problem that needs the attention - not Muslims as a whole. Israel is another thing. I don't hate Israel, I hate that it is a Jewish state.

I much prefer other things..

I hate to tell you this, but a lot of people have this position - a growing number in the U.S. Yes, IDC for the Jewish faith. Jews hate Christians. What else is there to say? I've met a few nice Jewish people, but most are radicals who abhor Muslims and Arabs. I don't hate them as a people, but their religion, I do not care for, and Zionism is as dangerous as Islam, as we will see when Israel hits Iran just becuase it is a Muslim Theocracy. BTW, you're reported for your personal attack.

why is this allowed?

You are practically invalidating yourself because of the hypocrisy of looking at the world through your own Christian colored glasses and bitching about other religions. Such whining makes Christ cry.

...IDK why we give them so much loyalty when this country is mostly Christian, and Jews like Christians about as much as they like Muslims... We're lowly Gentiles. Come to think of it, I am pretty anti-Israel, though am a little afraid of saying that with the strong bias in the media. They're wrong to target to Iran, and we're wrong to support them when their unilateral moves will cost our economic recovery. Also, don't really get how you can basically say I'm a Nazi from stating facts about Israel and its impact on our economy, but you're right. I don't care for Jewish people. There is a reason they've gotten run out of almost every country they've gone to since the dawn of time....

anti-Semitic garbage

Hey now, don't assume that maiseycat speaks for anyone but herself. I'm Christian and I couldn't disagree with her more.

Market direction is a key factor on how people spend, hire and overall confidence in the economy. If the market continues it's downward recent trend will this make people more prone to feel we are on the " wrong track"? If so, it seems that the kingmaker in this election may not be the billions of Superpac dollars raised by both sides but rather the actions of our central banker Mr. Bernanke. If the market continues to slide the expectation is that Bernanke would respond with QE3. However as we get closer to the election would be be willing to pull the trigger and face the anger certain to be headed this way.

Mr. Bernanke has proven he is willing to take unpopular steps to do what he thinks best to keep our economy afloat. His actions over the next 90 days may swing the election one way or the other.

Thoughts?

A major QE3 would provide significant backlash against the President; however, I tend to look more to Europe. American banks have large exposure to European Debt (as I understand it), and so a series of default there might invoke another bail-out; which would have the same effect, but more vitriolic.

I don't know about "the stock market" unseating the President, but I think that "the economy" very well might.

Oddly enough, Greece Angela Merkel probably has more influence over our election than Bernanke. IMHO, if Europe wasn't sucking wind Obama would be a shoe-in for reelection.

;) edited for accuracy.

anti-Semitic garbage

But nothing is ever considering antisemitic by the vast majority in this forum, even this creature's vomits of pure stupidity.

The official party line whenever Jews are involved is "you are overreacting", "you call everything antisemitic", "All she did was criticize Israel", "you are trying to suppress legitimate discussion", "you can't say anything......" etc, that supports the stupidity by trying to shift blame to those who object.

That 'downward trend' is the financial media over-dramatizing the normal market correction.

Depends if this is contained to Greece or spreads to Italy and Spain.

The stock market going up or down has a large " wealth effect" . One of the key reasons for a QE3 as Bernanke understand this.

How does a thread about the stock market's effects on the election turn into a israel palestine thread? This forum is turning into a joke.

Not sure how the stock market that's gained 50% in the 3.5 years since Obama's took office would be a reason for unseating him.
