a real news source is helpful.. not some rag..

again it was used as a tool during the election....

And this is a rag, but you might trust it

The fairness doctrine was a policy of the U. S. Federal Communications Commission from 1949 until 1987. Daniel Henninger wrote in the Wall Street Journal,
“ Ronald Reagan tore down this wall (the Fairness Doctrine) in 1987... and Rush Limbaugh was the first man to proclaim himself liberated from the East Germany of liberal media domination.” [1]

Fairness Doctrine - Conservapedia

Conservapedia even says that it was gone 25 years ago.

The Fairness Doctrine, which never was law in the first place, was used as a tool during what election?

perhaps the Obama election, since he is on record opposing it.

Have any other examples of how the POTUS is trying to shut down Fox?

Very much so. Proof? Link? Anything beyond your own conspiracy theories?

It sure is taking him a long time. 4 years now. Surely with the Democratic Congress he had, he could have pushed this through along with his repeal of the Constitution and declaration of himself as our Communist Overlord for Life.

Instead he's running for re-election? The horror!

Then it should be easy for you to back up your claims. No rags, no righty blogs. A real news source. Here, we'll even make it one you'll accept. I went to foxnews.com and searched "Obama shut down Fox." You'd think since he's trying to shut them down, they'd be covering it, right?

Here's what I got:

BP: Azeri Western Route Export Pipeline To Shut Down For Month | Fox Business

Nope, that's about an oil pipeline in Azerbaijan.

Arrieta shuts down Yanks, O's take series | Fox News

Baseball

Angels lose to Morrow, Blue Jays 5-0 | Fox News

More baseball.

I guess I'll just have to take your word for it.

Hint.. Lautenberg and Rockefeller.. Like I had already mentioned...

Geeeebus

Why, yes as a matter of fact. They're mostly used to support wacky conspiracy theories.

no they are used to red herring the source and for others to claim to have no knowledge of something...

Strange. I didn't see Obama mentioned. Nor do I see a concerted effort to shut them down.

BTW, remember when the GOP shut off funds to NPR because they were so liberal? That wasn't an effort to constrict them at all, was it?

as they should.. the Gov should not be involved in partisan politcs and hacks like NPR.. all funds should be shut off..period. Wasnt it NPR that fired Juan Williams for being even remotely objective and honest?..

can anyone follow your thought pattern? one is public money ( tax payer and tax free exemptions) and one is private industry and private money from advertising etc..(where libs cant compete, because most people have working brains)

wow..

Your jive is really off the wall..

So, the whole media is far left "Obama slurpers," and they can't compete for ad revenue. Fascinating. Because you'd think they'd all change their ways because they weren't making any money.

I'm happy they cut off the funding. I never thought that was a good idea anyway, but it does represent a stronger effort to weaken a media outlet that they don't like.

And my jive is off the hook, thank you for noticing.

You almost made a point... kudos.

Besides FOX of course.

In the following interview Ann is there to put a happy face on her husband.

Will Mitt do Face the Nation (CBS), Meet the Press (NBC), This Week (ABC) or even State of the Nation (CNN) without his wife Ann? Personally, I doubt that very much, but we'll have to wait and see.

At about the 6:05 mark Romney is asked about him not connecting voters, but he never really answers the question because his wife interjects with her view.

Mitt & Ann Romney On CBS This Morning With Charlie Rose & Erica Hill

Your thoughts?

His wife should stop wearing 1000 dollar blouses in interviews.. unless she wants to look even more out of touch.
