New Obama campaign video

While I must applaud Obama for a great campaign video, that's all this really is. Many items in this list are inaccurately solely attributed to Obama (or, that's the clear implication, IMO). This video also leaves out all the stuff Obama didn't do, or the compromises he had to make to accomplish what he did.

I also get a kick from the $1 trillion spending cuts bullet at the end. Government math at its best.

I suspect the highest gas prices in history for various months, millions unemployed, and off the charts spending won't be addressed

The slogan for Obama's 2012 campaign is Lean forward, this won't hurt a bit.

:( it's sad to see how far you've fallen since you joined a union. You were onna the greats.

Moderator's Warning:
Don't do this

Highest gas prices in history? That honor would go to your boy Shrub.

Gas Price Historical Price Charts - GasBuddy.com

your chart shows a single month where it goes down on average by 10 cents, clearly the most failed attempt at anything i have ever seen you do.

if you wanted to bring up highest gas prices, you should have brought up the embargo, where gas went from 25 cent a gallong to 2 dollarsa gallon over night, and then compared it to prices and wages of today.

i havent done the math, but i would assume it would have been equal to pauing 5-6 dollars a gallon if not more in todays prices, but someone good at math should verify that.

The highest gas prices in history were in June of 2008. Oh, and guess who was President, then....Gas Price Historical Price Charts - GasBuddy.com

Oh, and just for the Record, Obama was also president when the economy collapsed. Just so you know.

So it is true that Obama isn't the superman that many people dreamed that he could be, but he is certainly not the trainwreck of a president that came before him...

Better one would be this:

I love the gas price argument.

As if Obama has a magic button in the oval office that magically raises and lowers the price of an internationally produced, Globally traded and Globally values commodity.

But don't tell that to the "free marketeers" their heads will explode.

As for the debt, yeah as I will continue to say the American debt is the single biggest challenge the US must over come.

But if anyone, Republican or Democrat had cut spending as much as the Neanderthals of the Far right had wanted them to, hadn't bailed out GM, hadn't passed the stimulus, believe me they wouldn't have thanked that president for not spending the money, they would have skewered him for the economy going into full depression mode.

Ok, smart guy, click the button on the top right-hand side of the graph that shows you the 8 year trend.

Um, you can select the time range. Talk about an epic fail. :2rofll:

How do you know what the gas prices will be in 2016?

yes sorry my mad bro i actually realized that about 12 seconds after i posted.

but it still doesnt change what i said before, gas prices per capita,by todays prices vs 70"s gas prices compared to income,we still have it lower.

by the price jump during the oil embargo would have been similair to our gas prices today hitting $20 a gallon over night and then retreating slowly back to normal.i am fairly certain in terms of wages to cost we paid way more in the 70s to early 80s.

New Obama campaign video unveils

a reminder of all that has been accomplished the last few years:cool:

That's long. I don't see it being on TV... it's positive though.

I am starting to think it must be harder for a candidate to run against a incumbent than just another presidential candidate. That is, unless the incumbent has really screwed up. Obama has already been through the ringer. I can't image Romney digging out anything new on him that hasn't already came out, so Obama is just going to be judged on his record. Romney doesn't have a record to compare to Obama's in many ways, and he can't really make the inexperienced argument... because Obama has more experience being president than Romney.

Basically, Obama is going to run on his record and it is going to stand on it's own. I think it's a good political campaign strategy.

Of course not. If he runs on his record, then that's going to be brought up over and over. He set the tone himself. I am curious to see how Romney's campaign is going to shape up.

obamadoesnt have a record of his own that is good, romney however hjas many skeletons in his closet the msm wont report, maybe because they are withholding the good until election.

regaurdless of everything else, obama raised 3/4 a billion in 08 and has been running fundraisers since, even the richest most out of touch republican is a mere peasant compared to obama, and no republican yet shows the promise of beating the guy who raised more in one election than all candidates combined did in 04 or 2000
