Does Mitt Romney lack the empathy needed to be Commander And Chief?

What about capitlism? I love capitalism and it's what makes this country what it is today. Without our form of capitalism we'd be another 3rd rate country struggling to provide the essentials to the masses.

Are there "some" who've stuck to us, yup. You find them and send to jail. What you don't do is through out the baby with the bath water.

Nope, try again.

Listen I'd like to stay on this thread and just post back and forth with you . . . . . come to think of it I wouldn't.

So ask me again what you want me to answer. I just don't want to play the - "No I didn't . . . . Yes you did" game.

How does vulture capitalism translate to running a country?

I answered what I thought of capitalism 4 post before this one. You call it vulture capitalism and I didn't, maybe that's what confused you.

I believe in capitalism, it's what made the country what it is. Have some abused the system, yup. But again you don't through out the baby with the bath water. You prosecute to fullest extent of the law. You change laws to make it harder for the greedy to steal.

I don't know if he lacks the empathy, but he certainly lacks the honesty.

How does a career in venture capitalism qualify someone to run the country?

Honesty and Politician.... does not compute.

Ohhhhh . . . . . I see what you want answered. You're talking about Mitt Romney, yes?

No being a venture capitalist does not make someone better POTUS material, but it is a far cry from a community organizer. Romney has run a successful business and made money. He was the Gov. of Mass. Those two things alone are so far ahead of anything President Obama has ever done, it's funny.

So running a business and being Governor of Taxachusettes is a bigger accomplishment than being POTUS and makes him more qualified to be POTUS?

If I look at Romney's accomplishments in the run up to the POTUS, and I look at Obama's accomplishments in his run up to the POTUS, yes Romney is more qualified.
Obama's first 3 years he was over his head and in some respects still is, though he's now got enough OJT to I think be more effective.

You're kidding right?

President Obama was a very, very good salesman, because he sold a lot of folks on buying into "hope and change" and they got screwed instead. He didn't have the capabilities, experinece, background, or OJT. He did talk a good game, but he'd never played the game.

Romney has the experience, and ability in real world situations.

These platitudes leave me unimpressed.

Even if you reach that conclusion, you can't deny that Obama now has far more relevant experience than Romney.

Well trying to convince me that President Obama, who had no experience when he ran for the POTUS, was a better candidate then than Romneyis now, is absolutely ridiculous. All President Obama has now is 3 years of OJT and given us a debt we can't pay back in our lifetime.

2012 Romney vs. 2008 Obama? :rofl

I believe 2012 Obama is going to be on the ballot this year. I'm not buying the "OJT" talking point.

Well honestly I didn't think you would. It's difficult to face the fact, if you voted for him, that you were led down the rosey path.

But whether we believe it or not, we all were led down the rosey.

We need a leader and President Obama has a proven record after 3 years, that he just doesn't have a clue. He's just not the man for the job.

I don't regret voting for Obama. Do you remember who he was running against?

I wont say he lacks empathy...but he lacks direct knowledge of what its like to be poor or middleclass working class...romney was born wealthy, went to expensive private schools from the 7th grade on...he never had a bad day in his life...so lack of empathy and not having any way to have a clue are two different things.

Empathy being discussed in the media not so long ago:

How was he "in over his head"?

Making naive comments and moves. Let me give you a few examples - I'm sure you can google more.

- Offering to usher in a era of a post-racial America.
- Squandering 1 1/2 years on Healthcare during what Obama called "the worst recession since the great depression".
- Writing the secret letter to Russia offering to leave Poland and others in Eastern Europe without missile defense, having the letter go public, then Russia declining the offer.

Rookie mistakes... there's a lot more but and a list of promises a few pages long... but not needed here unless you want me to post it.

Thanks, but I'm trying to cut down on nimcompoops. Don't need to hear a big mouth from NBC wax eloquent in trash talk.
