...he's known for in-your-face rhetoric and passionate politics.
That's not passion for politics.
That was something else. It was something between a call for violence against a sitting President of the United States of America, and violent rhetorical moment against the backdrop of an already overly armed group of men, as they soak their brains into all things Weaponized for the weekend.
Not passion at all, IMO. A total lack of self-control, absolutely. The demonstration of a bit of mental neuronal decay, no doubt. But, political passion? I don't think so. I believe that if Mr. Nugent, could make it happen, he would make it happen himself (if he could get away with it).
So, what does he do instead? Simple.
He blurts it out there because he knows he can't make it happen personally, but he also knows that he can quite possibly influence someone with a mind that is less stable than his own. That's what I believe Nugent, calls himself doing and that same kind of irresponsible behavior has been coming out of the Republican Party, ever since it looked like a Black Man had a really good chance of becoming the next President of the United States, back in 2008. So, ever since then, we've been hearing racist commentary from Newt Gingrich, all the way down to this lady:
So, while John McCain, was forced to demonstrate some courage in front of the kind of people who supported him and had such racist attitudes toward Obama, that poor old lady most likely went home highly confused. Why? Because, everything leading up to that opportunity she had to get in front of that microphone, was telling her that Obama was an Arab, and all Arabs are not to be trusted. Now, where did that precious little old lady get that notion? She got it straight from the Republican Party, that's where.
