Ann Romney women choices

Women make different choices.

We should respect the choices women make.

We should respect the choices women make about motherhood.

thank you, ann:peace

lol ohhh the Irony.

Does Willard's wife include the choices a woman makes about birth control and abortion?

Seems her husband's party is of the opinion only choices they like ought to be the choices respected. :doh

oh the irony! (there's another Ka-ching for ya Hazlnut)

Don't liberals only believe in choosing abortion? And don't conservatives only believe in choosing life?

Why do partisan hacks assume anyone who is Republican or conservative (which are not necessarily the same thing) all walk lock step behind a particular party no matter what? Romney on abortion....

"One of the great things about our nation . . . is that we're each entitled to have strong personal beliefs, and we encourage other people to do the same. But as a nation, we recognize the right of all people to believe as they want and not to impose our beliefs on other people. I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country. I have since the time that my mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a US Senate candidate. I believe that since Roe v. Wade has been the law for 20 years, that we should sustain and support it, and I sustain and support that law, and the right of a woman to make that choice, and my personal beliefs, like the personal beliefs of other people, should not be brought into a political campaign." - Romney

Romney declined to sign a pro-life pledge for 2012 presidential candidates sponsored by the Susan B. Anthony List by which signers pledge to push legislation to end all taxpayer funding of abortion and to sign a law to "protect unborn children who are capable of feeling pain from abortion." The pledge also commits signers to nominate judges and appoint executive branch officials who are pro-life. Romney's spokeswoman said the pledge could have "unforeseen consequences" and that Romney could not "in good conscience sign it."

In a January 2012 debate, Romney stated that allowing contraception has worked for the states and he saw no reason to change that, but he has declined to state whether the states should have the power to ban it if they wish. The question arose from Romney's opposition to Roe v. Wade, because Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion and Griswold v. Connecticut, which legalized contraception, both invoked a right to privacy.

I am conservative and I support abortion (within limits) and birth control.

If people spent more time understanding others rather than just assuming we are all political robots who march lock step to a single drummer, we mite actually accomplish something in this country.

Don't liberals only believe in choosing abortion? And don't conservatives only believe in choosing life?

Only if someone is a narrow minded idiot.
