I like it...........This guy is a true Conservative a vet and he tells it like it is........He would also help with the black vote and would offset some of Romney's liberal tendencies on the issues.

Allen West would consider Veep slot - Mackenzie Weinger - POLITICO.com

Sarah Palin has said her “rogue” pick for vice president would be Rep. Allen West — and on Friday the Florida Republican said if he does get that call, “if it’s the right fit” he would join the ticket.

Maybe. But he'll never BE considered.

Thought you said Adam West, I was about to vote Republican just watch his speeches.

That would really help with Romney's women problem.

He's already got some political experience.

He would also help with the black vote....

Typical racist ignorance here. I love it when the ill-informed say things like this. Let me give you a clue NP. West would not help one iota with the black vote....see despite what your ilk believe, black people don't vote for black people because they are black. Believe it or not, black people THINK just like white people THINK and brown people THINK. They vote for people who represent their values. DOH!

He might not help with the black vote, but he'd be boffo for the lunatic vote.

That's not entirely true. Some African-Americans who had never voted before registered for the first time 4 years ago to vote for Barack Obama.

I do think you are correct that selecting Allen West for the VP slot would not help him. It might even hurt him. If an African-American does vote based on race, he would vote for the party where the African-American candidate was at the top of the ticket, not the bottom. There is also a chance that voters with racist views now considering supporting Romney would refuse to vote for a Romney/West ticket.

That's true....Obama did energize some disenfranchised black voters to register, but not simply because he was black, but because he represented their ideals. Allen Keyes would not have energized those voters and he is BLACK.

However, I do agree with your second and third points...which is why I don't think Romney will even give him any consideration.

For Hussein Obama's sake you better hope so. The military loves this guy and if he could bring about 20% of the black vote Hussein Obama is history

He does not need a lot of the black vote.....20% will do tjhe trick........He will help carry a battleground state in Florida and Like I said being retired military they will flock to him....Be afraid my left wing friend...be very afraid......

... The GOP hasn't gotten 20% of the "black vote" in about 50 years with or without black Republicans running. Alan Keyes? Herman Cain?

The only times I've heard about West in general discussion is when he says something incendiary or downright silly, I don't think Romney is foolish enough to go with another flash in the pan Tea Party favorite.

People like me are not happy with Romney as the GOP candidate........West could fix that and convince tea party voters to vote for Romney when they might of stayed home..........

..... So Reagan wasn't a serious candidate? GWB I and II weren't a serious candidate? Seriously dude, black people don't vote Republican not because of color - it has to do with the general bs accusations of Conservatives that they only vote because they want handouts.

Who is this Hussein Obama guy you are so fixated on? Any relation to the president?

And republicans always love the military, until they say something republicans don't want to hear. Then they do like Paul Ryan did and call them lairs and stuff.

Do you wonder why he thinks black people will vote for black candidates?
