And don't worry, I am going to start the same thread for presidential candidate Barack Obama.

First Entry for Mitt Romney, in the category dumb remarks

Statement by Mitt Romney at a speaking engagement in Harrisberg Pennsylvania:

We have a president, who I think is is a nice guy, but he spent too much time at Harvard, perhaps.

Read more: Mitt Romney: Obama Spent 'Too Much Time' at Harvard - Business Insider

The problem however is that Romney actually spent a year longer than Obama at Harvard.

Mitt Romney studied at Harvard between 1971 and 1975, 4 years in total

Barack Obama studied at Harvard between 1988 and 1991, 3 years in total.

On top of that, three of Romneys sons attended Harvard. Romney has donated more than 50 grand to Harvard.

Even his campaign lists more than a dozen advisers with Harvard ties, including Harvard economics professor Greg Mankiw and international affairs professor Meghan O’Sullivan.

My opinion, it is real dumb to criticize someone for going to Harvard for 3 years when you yourself were at Harvard for 4 years. And then I am not even talking about the fact that his sons went there, he donated money to the school and has strong ties even today with the school and the staff there.

His pulling that OLD Rovian trick. Have a weak point? Accuse you opponent of having it worse.

Don't like Mormonism.......Obama's an Athiest
Think I'm out of touch.....Obama's been flying AF One for 3 years.....I guess Mitters Jet is a real dog, cloth seats and stuff
The funny part is Mitty spent more time in Harvard than Obama.. But I hope you already noticed that .the truth doesn't matter one bit with this strategy.
The Rove motto is "If you tell a lie over and over long enough and loud enough it becomes truth" Just ask McCain about his "black love-child".

No, no, Obama is a Muslim.;) :lamo

That's true.

... you do realize that Muslims aren't the only people who wear turbans correct? Christians in the Sahara wear it. So do many Hindus, Sikhs and non-mainstream religious folks in the 3rd world. It's not religious a garb. Wait... you're a Libertarian... you wouldn't know 'mainstream' if it shot you for wearing a hoodie. Nvm.

Romney is a terrible campaigner.

Atleast Romney doesn't use a handicap device such as a teleprompter like our President does and even when he does use the teleprompter he still says stupid things such as 57 states.

"I don't follow NASCAR as ardently as some others, but I have some friends who are team owners."

LOL!

Yeah, I am really connected to all the regular joe's at Nascar because I may not follow it a lot but some of my friends own Nascar teams. Ain't I a regular Joe? :lamo

More on Romney's serial lying....

“Good morning,” [Romney] began, though it was already afternoon. The accuracy of his statements went downhill from there.

He blamed President Obama for the “weakest economic recovery since the Great Depression.”

He said he would save “about $100 billion a year” eliminating Obamacare.

He accused the president of “taking a series of steps that end Medicare as we know it.” And he claimed Obama had created an “unaccountable panel, with the power to prevent Medicare from providing certain treatments.”

Incorrect, wrong, false and fictitious. And that was just a sample from one Romney speech on one day.

It is interesting that this one has replies and the other does not.

well one is knee deep in a war of words with 2 people (Santorum and the President) and has a high profile like none other in the political spectrum right now while the other is much more low-key with his campaigning.

I guess if you do not consider his entire term as president as campaigning rather than working. ;)

The dumb remarks don't really bother me.

It's Romney's serial lying about things he should be an expert on that bother me.

He claimed that GM would have gotten dozens of billions to refinance and reorganize in a time when banks would not cover each other's daily reserve requirements. Romney knows better as a former Bain CEO. Anyone who works in finance should know that comment alone invalidate Romney as even a remotely honest politician.

And when he admitted that if all you're doing is cutting spending, that;'s going to slow the economy he let loose that he knows what the GOP wants is a bad, bad, bad idea but he refuses to come out against it. Romney has no core beliefs which he will stand up for. You think Clinton waffled? Wait till you see Mittens in action.

when Obumble claimed

1) that the rich aren't paying their fair share

2) that the rich will sacrifice by paying more taxes and everyone else will sacrifice by getting less government spending

I permanently put him on my "lying douchebag" list

Yeah, we would not want presidents who use teleprompters...like Reagan for example...

Why not put that in the other thread that is for that purpose? It would be kinda offtopic in this one.

Your definition of fair has always been suspect. Don't go about pretending that we all agree upon your definition of fair.

2) that the rich will sacrifice by paying more taxes and everyone else will sacrifice by getting less government spending

I permanently put him on my "lying douchebag" list

#2 is mathematically required.
