Did Santorum drop the N bomb on Obama?

Did Rick Santorum catch himself dropping the N word on Obama?

Of course you think that.

Exhibit A of MSNBC trying to claim something is racist even though it is not.

From the video I am unable to conclusively tell if he was considering saying the "N" word or not.

I'm not sure it really matters since I don't think he has a shot at catching Romney anymore.

If by (remote) chance we see a brokered convention, I think they will try to draft someone new rather than going with any of the current 4 candidates.

Take a close look at this video. Was he about to finish saying the word "nigger", or did he have a second or two of word salad and this means nothing?

Sounds like he was stumbling thru the whole (5 seconds) of his speech.

A thread worthy of the basement. Pathetic.

I absolutely agree with that. How about Christie?

It looks more to me like Santorum being his typical eloguent self.

It sounded to me like two thoughts were trying to come out of his mouth at the same time and tripped over each other.

This is a complete non-starter.

I have absolutely no idea what he is trying to say there. That means I am not going to assume he was trying to say anything in particular. There are thousands of words that start with "n". Not going to assume it was a bad one.

WOOOOOW that's incredibly pathetic Dana. This is on par with attacks on "57 states" and "Shrub choked on a pretzel". Though at least those were actually based on something that happened rather than your stereotypical and patently obvious jump to the conclusion that makes the republicans look bad tactic here. I'd like to say I'd expect more from you at this point but....no, at this point I'm expecting to watch you run to the computer posting chain letters that are anti-republican like a bizarro version of some other posters now.

It looks like he had a relatively prepared speech in mind and got mixed up and stumbled on his words with no reason or history what so ever to suggest that he was randomly going to call Obama a "Government nigger"

****ing pathetic.

It didn't deserve a closer look.

Where did I jump to a conclusion? I didn't. I posted the link, and gave choices to vote on. For the record, my answer in the poll, as well as that of 4 other people, was I don't know. Also, show me where, in my post, that I said that Santorum DID use the N word. No, I didn't do that either. If anybody is jumping to a conclusion in this thread, it is YOU.

With all due respect, I have to tell you the same thing I told American, who used the "pathetic" word earlier in this thread. If you don't like the thread, you don't have to post in it. But if you do, then please don't distort my position on this, or otherwise tell me that I said or supported things I didn't say or support. Thanx in advance.

It doesn't sound like he did. It sounds like nick, not nig

causes me to recall a santorum iowa speech back in january
the one where santorum said he didn't
“want to make black people’s lives better by giving them other people’s money.”
and the cover up:
“I looked at that [video] and I didn’t say that,” the candidate asserted. “What I started to say was a word and then it sort of changed and ‘blah’ came out. And people said I said ‘black’ and I didn’t.”

now, it has been shown that santorum said this:
“Pick any other Republican in the country,” Mr. Santorum said. “He is the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama. Why would Wisconsin want to vote for someone like that?”
but he immediately disavows having said it:
Mr. Santorum at one point angrily challenged a reporter who had asked if he in fact felt Mr. Romney was the worst choice for nominee.

Mr. Santorum said the reporter was distorting his words. “What speech did you listen to? Stop lying,” he told Jeff Zeleny of the New York Times. “I said he was the worst Republican to run on the issue of Obamacare. That’s what I was talking about.”

“Quit distorting my words…It’s bulls–.”
it does appear that santorum says **** and then is not man enough to own up to his own words

as far as his near use of the n-word, make up your own mind. he does seem to have a history of speaking first and engaging his mind afterward

You posted a worthless and idiotic story that has no purpose other than to make republicans look bad while playing dumb in a faux attempt to act like you're neutral on the issue but being as blatantly transparent as you always are. Thank you Dana for your wonderous Glenn Beck style questioning ala "I wasn't calling Obama a Nazi! I was just asking a Question!". Yes Dana, you weren't saying Santorum was calling Obama a Nigger, you were just asking questions! Thank you hugely for asking the tough questions, Glenn Beck would be proud.

By the way, someone can think that the point, argument, and incident that's being made is "pathetic" without thinking the thread is bad. You want to throw crap out here then I'm going to respond to that crap. If you don't like that I respond to the crap you spew onto the forum such as this, then don't post crap. Thanx in advance. Now, be my guest to go back to your Glenn Beck-esque Questioning.

There's a plethora of issues that you could have about Santorum AND Obama, and yet you have hyper partisans and the hyper anti's peddling this kind of crap and focusing on this kind of bull**** as if there's not significantly more important and less questionable things to discuss and focus on.

It was out there, so I posted it, and merely asked everybody if that was what he was really about to say. Jesus Christ!! Maybe I should not have had the option in the poll that it was word salad on Santorum's part. Then what you are posting would be absolutely true. But I didn't. I just posed a question to see how many people would think it's racism, and how many think it was word salad. That's all I ****ing did. Nice to know that it got me the third degree from you.

From the video it's unclear what he might have intended to say.

It's also irrelevant. Anyone who wants to object to Santorum on clear substantive grounds is free to do so, and Santorum regularly spouts all manner of bigoted and ignorant nonsense in words which AREN'T possible slips.

In other words...Santorum supplies a whole lot of undisputed Crazy without people trying to provide cases of speculative Crazy. There's no need to go into deep or closely argued interpretation of Santorum...the theocrat and bigot right on top (i.e. the text, not the subtext, real or imagined) is already damning enough.

I can't believe I have a subscription to this worthless thread. I guess I'm betting on it turning into something good because the OP isn't going to guide it to anything worthwhile. Now, cue danarhea saying "well, you don't have to read it".

Where's the option for "who gives a rats ass what santorum says... Why do people still pay attention to this guy?"
