You'd think someone at MSNBC would have flagged how dumb this is before releasing it into the wild:

Sur,e Larry; they all have (or had) "government jobs." So I guess your solution for unemployment is that everyone should get themselves elected governors, senators, and representatives?

WOW, I must be dumb...lol...the first time I saw that commercial I thought he was talking to/about the camera man, which didn't make sense. I didn't realize he was speaking to politicians.

I don't listen to people like Rush Limbaugh regarding Democrats (or even moderate Republicans, for that matter), and I don't listen to people like Lawrence O'Donnell for opinions regarding Republicans. Extremism from either side is no more than an opinion wearing blinders.

He is a left wing hack just like every personality on MSNBC. That is why that cable network is by far the lowest rated news network of all the cable networks.

O'Donnell or the video itself?

O'Donnell isn't an extremist. He's an extreme dumbass.

Inciteful commentary here.

You mean this clip was for real? I thought it was some comedian of somebody cracking a joke about remarks made during the debate season. But you are saying this is fore real? The man's comments equal or surpass some of the dumba** remarks we have heard from the candidates in the republicand debates, preaching to the choir you could say.

This O'Donnel has given the US public the only viable answer to this and any other crisis, let's do it like the ancient greeks (frat boys and degenerates don't be too happy, I am not talking about bacchanalian parties and orgies), let everybody man and woman of age (18/21) become member of congress, so all adult americans would from then on be named congressman/woman. Then this congress of 200 million or so would form council of about 800 or so (the number of congressman and senators that exist now) who would sit in this council for 1 year each before being rotated out, the function of these 800 is to prepare business/agenda for the total body of congressmen/women.

Three days a week all the americans would sit in their houses/town halls, they would be given voting boxes to connect via the internet so that every decision in the country would be made by each and every american legal citizen. And they would all government jobs thus the unemployment would be 0.1% (the anarchists who refuse to vote and the drunks who forgot to sign up to their seat in government).

It was such a great succes in Greece, it must work in the US too ;) Right??? ;)

At MSNBC?! Seriously? The network with Ed, Al and Madcow?!

I still assume there's at least one smart person at MSNBC. Of course, whoever it is may not have been able to drown out O'Donnell's ego.
