Birthers are looking for an encore performance. Now, they seem to be suggesting that because his parents were not U.S. citizens when he was born that he is not a natural-born U.S. citizen and thus is not qualified to be VP.

It is true, of course, that one must be a natural-born U.S. citizen to be vice president.

Note: Rubio was born in Miami, Florida. Last I checked, that was located in the United States.

Any guesses on who & how many will call for his birth certificate if he runs for prez?

He's a Natural Born Citizen in that case; though I am sure there will be people looking into the circumstances behind how his parents entered the country, which IS an issue in my mind, if they did not come here through the proper channels (and I have nothing to say they didn't).

The more of that the better for Rubio and moreso Republicans. Latinos are critical to the future of the Republican Party. So the more he might be attacked for having Mexican-born parents the better for Republicans and him.

Weren't they Cuban refugees? In that case, so long as they reached dry land, they are ok.

His parents are Cuban-born, not Mexican-born.
