Doubtful that Newt can pull off an upset in Florida. Even if there is a late swing in attitudes, too many people have already cast early and absentee ballots. I'd say it would be a moral victory if he could keep it under a 5% loss.

I wouldn't get your hopes up to high yet.

The real challenge for Gingrich is FOX. If Gingrich gets an even hand with FOX, he could win it because the conservatives are almost all coming out for him. But FOX is THE decisive factor in Republican primaries.

Why are liberals so concerned with making sure Romney is Obama's opponent?

Because they think he'll be the easiest to destroy. Simple as that.

Looks to me like the polls are pointing to a big Romney win. Florida Polls Differ On The Margin, But All Show Mitt Romney Ahead

As the story points out, the one poll showing a closer race is from a firm that's headed up by a former Gingrich campaign chairman.

You need a better source of information.

Check out RPC. The latest polls are all that matter.

The very latest one shows the Gingrich surge. Look out!

Replace "liberals" with Democrats and it is a very good question.

I'm not sure that the Florida primary is going to be driven by the Tea Party. There are way to many liberal retirees from the NE that have migrated to Florida and think that because they aren't socialists or communists they are Republicans. Which, back home, they would be....kind of Like Comrade Romney. That's why Florida will go to Romney. But The conservative states are all leaning towards Gingrich and when you do the math through to the end, it is to close to call. This will go all the way to the convention.

I already provided you with a better source of information. That latest poll you're talking about is from Insider Advantage:

The closest result, from NewsMax/InsiderAdvantage, shows Romney leading by just five points (36 to 31 percent). Matt Towery, the pollster who runs InsiderAdvantage, served as Gingrich's campaign chairman from 1992 until 1999 and describes himself as a longtime friend of the former speaker. As reported by BuzzFeed, many of the InsiderAdvantage surveys in Iowa similarly "pulled toward Gingrich."

Talk about an insider advantage! :2rofll:

And Drudge. I have never seen anyone gun for a candidate like Drudge is gunning for Newt. There are definitely some FOX guys against him like Karl Rove. But there are some FOX guys giving him a very fair shake. Drudge is in an all out war.

But the poll right before it just a half day earlier showed the race tightening up also to 7 points. Insider is a very good accurate pollster. We'll see what follows in the next day or two.

What's funny is you think Huffington is a good source for anything.

I dearly hope and pray for a Newt victory.... in Florida... and elsewhere in getting him the GOP nomination.

Huffington just reported the facts. But yes, we shall certainly see. Go Newt!

I think it's become very obvious you really are hoping Newt loses. I would too, frankly, if I were you.

And it's obvious why? Because I keep saying that I hope he wins?

He's now down by only 5 points in the very latest poll that RCP is listing, and just won the tea party straw poll.

Gingrich Wins Tea Party Patriots Straw Poll in Florida

Sarah is again urging GOP voters to support him, and Herman Cain just gave a huge endorsement.

Herman Cain: Gingrich's 9 Positives Beat Romney

And now Rush is slamming Romney for dishonest ads

Can Gingrich upset Romney again?

Let's not count the chickens before they hatch, but yeah, I hope Newt pulls it off

You couldn't be more wrong. We are hoping for Gingrich or anyone other than Romney. It is the Republican "elite" that are pushing Romney.

I don't know WHO you guys are talking about.....every Democrat/Liberal out there that I know are rooting for Gingrich....he would be much easier to beat in the GE than Romney. Gingrich won't appeal to anyone other than the fringe of the GOP. He will alienate Independents and moderates and give Obama a landslide victory. While I'm certain that Obama will beat Romney as well, Romney will definitely be a stronger opponent, which is why we are praying for Newt to take him out for us.

That's the spirit

Just keep your emotional side especially in check and not prone to outbursts of anger.
