Gingrich wins Florida Tea Party Straw Poll as FL polls tighten

The Huffington post is the national enquirer of politics. If it is true and they just reported the facts on this then hell has indeed frozen over lol

Nonsense. Mostly what Huffpo does is aggregate stories from national news sites like the NYT, WSJ, LA Times, etc. Obviously their own editorial content is liberal, but they don't make **** up like the tabloids.

I hear that Florida really like two states politically; there's the upper pan handle and then the lower part.

Thats a bit of an oversimplification. You have Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Orange county which have a lean to the left. And the rest, which have a lean to the right. Definitely more bible-belt conservative towards the northern part of the state.

I am completely baffled as to how Sarah Palin, Herman Cain and a Tea Party group can be endorsing this guy.

They perceive him as enough of a conservative figurehead from which a great many can appeal to him, with both experience and notoriety in the conservative rise in Congress.

It's not without merit. It's just that people are a little too obsessed with trying to locate the true conservative that they pigeonhole it to mean very few things, which is anachronistic.

The very reason why Fl was called for Gore was that they were still voting in the panhandle which votes something like 70-30 republican. Some even believe that it was called early on purpose to make enough Republican voters not bother. Not convinced of that, but with the media the way it was at the time I wouldn't put it passed them.

Give the real results (as of tonight) what's that say out the TPs straw poll?

Was that the poll run by Newt's former campaign chairman?

That he did. Those jowels will bear the print of Mitt's effete, kid gloved hand for some time.
