New Hampshire Primary Thread

In the future, when insulting Ikari's intelligence please try to be more lustrous.

;)

Definitely. Put some effort into it, make it good. Don't do something halfassed.

Yes, I do understand that. But politicians have access to the best healthcare in the country, their socialized healthcare plan is light years ahead of what any of us will get. He can hold on for a term. Or pick an excellent VP, not like we haven't had Presidents whom have died in office. Do you understand that? Do you understand we have back up plans already in place should something like that happen? Or did you think your condescending smarmy was of any value when in fact it was a pathetic attempt at it?
For all who didn't know.

Norman's attempt at setting the Holly story straight is a well-researched volume in which Holly comes across as a talented, fun-loving guy who carried the torch for a high-school sweetheart with strong religious convictions; who blindly signed over much of his future income to Norman Perry, his smarmy producer and manager; and who endured grueling concert tours of the U.S. and Britain. —Genevieve Stuttaford, Publishers Weekly, 12 Aug.1996
Perhaps not—but Zarrella's absence is giving prime-time exposure to Channel 9 sports backups Drew Soicher, Carol Maloney and Rod Mackey, any of whom is preferable to the main man, whose on-air presence has grown smarmier with each passing year. —Michael Roberts, Denver Westword, 15 Mar. 2001

Of course condescending smarmy. You insulted my intelligence to try to downplay my opinion. But it was weak and lackluster.

LOL!

Go back and read what I posted. This time don't do it with any assumptions.

You said you liked Paul. You list yourself as a Libertarian, so why wouldn't you. I was pointing out the man's age. It is a fact. It is a concern. It is an issue. The same way a candidate's health would be.

I am sure you do like Paul.

You might even get a chance to vote for him, but it will be as an Independent candidate for President. He will not be the GOP nominee.

Do you understand that Dr. Paul will be 77 years old on election day 2012? That is older than Reagan, our oldest President, was when he, Reagan, left office.

Please point out where I am being condescending smarmy.

It's the last sentence. "Do you understand that Dr. Paul will be 77 years old....'. What, like I can't count? Of course I know what his age is and what it means. You're trying to be snide and smarmy by questioning my understanding of age such that you can use it to dismiss the whole of the opinion. I know full well how old he is. If you're going to be smarmy, at least give it a good shot. I can appreciate good smarmy, but what you had there was just sad.

You have a valid point. I could and should have worded that reference to Mr. Paul's age better.

I do, however, consider his age to be an issue.

I think his age can be a relevant issue indeed. I don't dispute that.

Smarmy count: 12

That's what most think, but he may as well lose against Santorum.

Not very likely, but SC is Santorum's last chance for glory. Even if Santorum should win SC (very, very unlikely), he still is not a serious candidate for POTUS.
