Poll: Americans 2-1 Fear Obama's Reelection

Something to hope on :)

So 1/3 of Americans fear Obama getting re-elected.

And in other breaking news, the sun sets tonight... in the west of all places.

And this just in..... and that same sun... at least we think it is the same one .... will rise again tomorrow in the east.

The fact that a third of Americans hate Obama and fear his re-election should surpirse not on person who has been following the hate Obama 24/7/365 marathon over the past three years.

As we enter the presidential election year of 2012, what potential news event do you fear the most?
President Obama wins reelection 33%
Taxes will increase 31%
Iran will get a nuclear weapon 16%
Obama will lose reelection 16%
North Korea will attack South Korea 4%

Holy misleading headline. It's 1/3, not 2 to 1. Also, I cannot find any actual poll information. Can any one find the actual poll?

33% to 16%....2 to 1. They're comparing the two "election" fears, hardly misleading at all.

Read the headline again. Note that is not what it says. It says specifically that americans 2-1 fear Obama's reelection. Period. Not in comparison. That is why it is misleading. The fact that as best I can tell it was an internet poll from a conservative website is also telling.

i fear status quo :-(

Tbh, i never understood the fear of Obama. Get a repub and nothing will change atleast to me.

Terrible thread title.

Also a headline on that website:

"Is fox too balanced?"

Of course they fear that he'll be re-elected. They're not dumb.

Obama is a ****ty president, and liberals know it. They're embarrassed by this pompous arrogant ass who sends his wife on million dollar vacations, who kept a single campaign promise, who fulfilled the Bush war policy and draw down, who hasn't close Gitmo, who has ****ed up in the Middle East.....a total loser; and liberals a stuck voting for him.

From the article:

"...according to the new Washington Whispers poll"

The what what poll? :lamo

As best I can tell it is an online poll with the US News and World Report. In other words, it is meaningless. There is a reason cpwill ran away from this thread.

Here's a towel, wipe the foam from your mouth would yah.

And once again Cpwill is caught deliberately trying to mislead people.

Cpwill you're not an idiot, why do you keep doing things like this?

I think the numbers of Seniors voting in particular is significant here.

Too bad the GOP doesn't put up a reasonable alernative

1/3 of Americans just answer every single poll with the most right wing option there is. If you run a poll asking "Is President Obama a werewolf that is conspiring to eliminate the human presence on planet Earth to make room for his kind?" 1/3 say yes, 2/3 say no.

OK... I was going to say that we could get more accurate results if I polled myself but I don't want to stir up the image of me polling myself. So just forget what I just posted. Wipe it from memory. Never think of it again.

'

there are, in fact, two reasons:

1. I live in Okinawa. The time zone here is a bit different.
2. I have a job and a family that between them take up most of my day

I agree the title is misleading - but every time I alter a headline when I post a thread I get dinged for not copying exactly the title of the article. I thought that the effect on Seniors in particular was worth note (which is why I mentioned it) because the strategy of Make Seniors Afraid Of Republicans And Their Entitlement Cuts doesn't seem (according to these numbers) to be gaining much traction.

Yeah, there is. But I don't understand why you dismiss a U.S. News and World Report poll as "meaningless." Explain? Is your issue statistical? Says at the link that this was a New Year's poll asking the question, "As we enter the presidential election year of 2012, what potential news event do you fear the most?"

Site also says:

Source: The Synovate eNation Internet poll was conducted December 29-January 2 among a national sample of 1,000 households by global market research firm Synovate.

So the poll is meaningless because of its source or because the question is dumb or what?

I don't read this pub, so I didn't know until five minutes ago that "Washington Whispers" is at least venerable, LOL. Here's its self-description: "Washington Whispers has been featured in U.S. News & World Report since 1933, offering a fun, insider's view of Washington."

Will...it's an online poll from a conservative site. It is meaningless, no matter how you try and spin it.

So all polls from a liberal site are equally as meaningless.
