Republican Strategist Says Iowa GOP Will Not Allow Paul To Win

I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they do all in their power to hide Paul's numbers or cook the numbers enough to keep Paul out of it. Paul will not just listen to GOP leadership because they are GOP leadership. And people who can't take orders are people the GOP leadership does not want.

Not that this should be surprising. Pressure from on high is telling them to suppress Ron Paul or else. Naturally, they wish to please their overlords.
Paul has a lot of good ideas, but then so did Marx. I hope things evolve to his Paul's, but that time is not now. He is unelectable. The focus of the Republican party and America itself should be a resurgence which can only be realized by limiting the attrition of the country to four years. Bush and Obama are clearly the Nixon and Carter of yore. Reagan is dead but hope is not. Paul is not the man.

As soon as you stop with abject dismissal.

I will stop dismissing Pauls conspriacy crap as soon as I stop dismissing that Bush planned 9/11 and I stop dismissing Obama is a muslim born in Kenya.

i find it rather amusing the lengths the GOP is willing to go to downplay paul and his support......he must scare the living hell out them....

I think he scares them because he is unlikley to win.

His foreign policy philosophy is what really kills him i think

You would be a fun guy to talk to if I were drunk enough.

just wondering how much momentum paul will pick up with a good showing( 1st or 2nd...), also, what kind of monkey wrench could santorum throw into the process if he comes in 1st or 2nd?

I do believe that from reading your position and arguments on Ron Paul, that for this specific issue you are emotionally compromised.

Dee Dee Benkie, the woman revealing these comments from the Iowa GOP leaders, is from the RNC and has served as chair of the Young Republicans in addition to being a former aide to the Bush Administration. She wasn't citing it as a negative either, but clearly supporting this idea that Ron Paul shouldn't be allowed to win because of his views. Equating this to 9-11 conspiracy theories is lunacy.

I think he scares them because he is unlikley to win.

Why on Earth would they be scared of someone who is unlikely to win?

A paul supporter claiming others are emotionally comprimised is hilarious.

So the suggestin is what? That the Iowa GOP is going to rig the election? Actually change the votes?

The Republican èstablishment understands that America`s demographics are quite different from Iowa, where 91.0% of America is not White (non-Hispanic).

The GOP overlords realize that a majority vote for Paul in 2012, just like the majority for Huckabee in 2008, would only reinforce the argument that Iowa is not representative of the American electorate.

EVERYONE knows that the INTERNATIONAL CONSPIRATORS are meeting in Vienna as I write this desperately seeking more ways to stop your Lord and Savior Ron Paul from saving the world from the demons of the damned.

This is the most important election in human history and evil or goodness will reign for 1000 years dependent upon whether Ron Paul becomes president or not. So predictably all the forces of Satan and evil will do anything to destroy Ron Paul. He is the only and last chance to avoid freedom vanishing for at least a millenium.

Since Iowa has a key Internationalist Conspirators' regional office for the USA, of course the evil GOP leadership will do anything to do their part to destroy career petty politician Ron Paul.

You are free to deflect as you see fit; but it just goes to prove my point. There are many Paul supporters whom are very zealous in his defense; there are Paul haters who are likewise. From your arguments, you appear to be in that group.

Do you mean "Ron Paul lovers" when you tell of his zealous supporters?

If Southern Conferate and anti-Republican Ron Paul is the Republican nominee, Obama would obliterate him, the Democrats would have solid majorities and both houses of the US Congress, and thousands of local, county and state offices would be lost to Democrats who rode Obama's coattails to victory.

ANY rational leader of the GOP would urge doing ANYTHING to stop Libertarian, anti-Republican, pro-Confederacy and bigoted ancient old Ron Paul being the Republican nominee. There is nothing whatsoever in proper in GOPers desperately wanting Paul to lose and as much as possible very quickly.

And of course you have the data to prove this assertion? Or are you just talking out of your ass?

Why is it so hilarious again? I am not some blind supporter who does not pay attention to what my preferred candidates says and does, nor do I think Ikari fits into that group. My support for Ron Paul is premised on my support for his views and because he has demonstrated that he will not deviate from those views to appease anyone. Anything I think about the campaign against him is premised on my view of those behind the campaign, not because of anything particular to Paul.

People who get facts shoved in their face and continue to deny reality as you have are more clearly demonstrating signs of being compromised by their emotions.

If you actually watch the video that is clearly not what the individual is saying. Rather, the various party officials in each area will likely make any sort of deals necessary or manipulate whatever relationships they can in order to keep Paul from winning the caucuses. It was specifically about how they would manipulate the caucus process to insure someone else wins. Vote-rigging is not mentioned or implied, but I personally would not rule that out.

That is their propaganda though. They want to paint supporters as some unthinking, ravanous cult. Is it true? Not on the whole, at least not by what I've observed. I'm sure there are overly zealous Paul supporters out there just as there are overly zealous Paul haters out there. On this forum, for instance, I think we see that number of zealous Paul haters to be greater than the number of zealous Paul supporters.

Why is he a member of a party that is allegedly completely corrupt?

It's difficult to make progress otherwise. The system is essentially set up to support the two current parties and outside parties have little chance at changing that. As such, he has tried to work from within the party; though that turns out to be very difficult now too thanks to the entrenchment of party leadership and the expectation that everyone blindly follow the mandates and dictates of the party.
