Walmart Moms: America's next big voting bloc

Ahh, so you are contributing to the downfall of local merchants when you bypass their stores then? Sounds like a frequent accusation I hear about Wal-Mart.

Also not paying your fair share of sales taxes either. No wonder so many states have deficits.

Do you hate unions? Why don't you support the UAW and the autos they make. It's funny that so many liberals strongly support the auto bailout and auto maker unions, but happily buy foreign made autos.

Show me an "American Made" car that is actually made in America-

Most have some parts made in other countries, but they have far more American made parts than most foreign brands and most are completely assembled here.

Hmmm...what's the difference between a Soccer Mom and a Walmart Mom? I don't shop Walmart--none close by, too crowded, philosophical issues. I'm lobbying for the Costco Grannies.

choices in my area are Walmart or Meijer.

probably six of one, half a dozen of the other, but i go to meijer so i don't have to go to walmart.

I've never heard of Meijer.

I like Fred Meyer, but we don't have those here either.

Meijer is a lot like a super Wal-Mart. They sell just about everything. Fred Meijer was the CEO until he died recently.

sounds like the same thing under a slightly different name.

Cleremont is north and west of Orlando.

Not so very long ago, it was citrus and cattle country. But it has become overrun by McMansions and people escaping the urban sprawl of Orlando.

Their story sound like the story of Florida real estate overall. It's still a place where people looking for foreclosures are taken around by the busload and shown dozens of properties en masse.

Still, it's hard for me to understand why a person like this would even think about voting for the very people who created the economic conditions that (along with their own blyte foolishness) landed them where they are now.

So you will be voting 3rd party this year too? Good to know!
