No self respecting Conservative sides with a country ruled by terrorists... and then there's Ron Paul. Also, take note of who's fault it is that there's no peace in the middle east... Hint: It's the country he lives in

I don't even like Ron Paul especially, but Grim, you can't start out a thread that characterizes Palestine as "a country ruled by terrorists" and expect to have a reasonable discussion.

For someone who harps on media bias all the time in the interest of fairness, your own posts lack that very fairness when you use terminology like that.

Excuse me SB, but Hamas, which rules Gaza, is listed as a terrorist organization by not only the US, but by Canada and the EU. As for the PLO (Palestinian Authority) in the West Bank, their charter makes clear that they do not recognize Israel's right to exist, and it calls for armed struggle against "Zionist imperialism". Not to mention of course, the thousands of rockets fired by them both over the last decade, that were aimed not at military targets, but at Israel's civilian populations.

If that doesn't qualify as "terrorist" ruled, I don't know what does.

I sir, am not currently a member of the media and am not reporting on a story. I am voicing my personal opinions on a political forum. The day I'm hired by a media outlet to report on news, is the day I will keep my personal opinions to myself.

You know, I was being kind... But since I'm receiving so much guff about my classification of the rulers of the Palestinians, I think maybe I should have said Anti-Israeli instead of pro-Palestinian. I mean that fits better with those newsletters of his.

Now, please attack me some more, and by all means DO NOT ADDRESS THE ACTUAL TOPIC.

If Obama treated Israel like Reagan did, he’d be impeached

Imagine if Israel would launch a successful preemptive strike against a country that is building a nuclear bomb that threatens its very existence [1981], and the American president would describe it as “a tragedy”.

And then, not only would the U.S. administration fail to “stand by its ally”, as Republicans pledged this week, but it would actually lend its hand to a UN Security Council decision that condemns Israel, calls on it to place its nuclear facilities under international supervision and demands that it pay reparations (!) for the damage it had wrought.
And then, to add insult to injury, the U.S. president would impose an embargo on further sales of F-16 aircraft because Israel had “violated its commitment to use the planes only in self-defense”.
...And what if that very same president, only a few months later, would decide to sell truly game-changing sophisticated weaponry to Saudi Arabia, an Arab country that is a sworn enemy of Israel? And not only would this president dismiss Israeli objections that these weapons endanger its security, but he would actually warn, in a manner that sent shivers down the spines of American Jews, that “it is not the business of other nations to make American foreign policy”

As for Ron Paul, hes a racist homophobe, probable anti-semite making him fit the ranks of conservative pro Israelis much better, so we definitely don't need him taking a pro Palestinian side

"But he said that he viewed Israel as “one of our most important friends in the world” and that he supports Israel right to attack Iran in self-defense. “I do not believe we should be Israel’s master but, rather, her friend. We should not be dictating her policies and announcing her negotiating positions before talks with her

neighbors have even begun.”"

Also about that same reactor bombing:

PAUL: In many ways, we treat Israel as a stepchild. We do not give them responsibility that they deserve. We undermine their national sovereignty. We don't let them design their own peace treaties with their neighbors. And then we turn around and say that, when you want to do that or you want to defend your borders, they have to check it out with us. I think Israel would be a lot safer. I made the point earlier. We give three times as much money to the Arabs. Why do we arm their enemies? So if you care about Israel, you should be against all the weapons that go to the Arab nations.
(APPLAUSE)
And I just don't see any purpose in not treating Israel in an adult fashion. I think they'd be a lot better off.
I think they, one time in the '80s, took care of a nuclear reactor in Iraq. I stood up and defended Israel for this. Nobody else did at that time.
But we need to recognize they deserve their sovereignty, just as we deserve our sovereignty."

yep you can keep him, lets add anti arab people on that list too.
