This maybe a good read for you guys.

President Barack Obama's reelection team is praying hard that the Newt Gingrich-Mitt Romney primary smackdown will be long and bloody this year, giving the President's team time to plot out its strategy for November, when the race will all come down to the numbers.“The agenda that the Republicans are embracing in order to win the nomination, I think they’re mortgaging themselves for the general by tacking as far as they are now,” Obama's top campaign strategist David Axelrod told reporters in Washington yesterday. “I think the longer the race goes the more they’re going to do that and the harder it is to scramble back.”

The GOP "strategists" made the same prediction about Obama and Clinton, then the nomination wrapped up, McCain introduced Palin and then suspended his campaign only to unsuspend it after realising how ridiculous it was, and everything's history.

It's almost 1 year away, any prediction is just fortune telling.

Indeed, Gingrich doesn't have much time left before they toss his bloated ass into the bone yard and run to the next asshat, claiming him or her the next Republican messiah, as they have done with everyone since Palin. Who the next asshat will be is difficult to say at this point. It won't be Perry, it won't be Bachmann and it won't be Santorum. It certainly won't be Romney at this point. They're still running away from Romney, with good reason.

What good reason at this late stage? He's the best of the bunch they got there that seems to have a chance of picking up the nomination and win the General Election, unless they somehow turn to Huntsman - the only one they haven't tried.

Consider how the GOP has behaved in the House and Senate for the passed two years - I think they will behave this way in their primary season. Brinksmanship to the bitter end. I also think they will lose in 2012 by a substantial majority if they do this. Many moderate GOPs are already disgusted enough to stay home in November - and more will feel this way if they have a protracted bloodbath during this primary.

I seriously doubt that nominating Romney is going to be a golden bullet after all the in-fighting they've had and nominating Gingrich would be political suicide. The GOP has minimized all the real talent for so long that it is doubtful they will be able to get Huntsman enough name recognition or get the image they have painted of Paul as barely sane out of voters' minds by next November

Huntsman & Paul ares viable with some independents and disgruntled Democrats which is why the far right won't give them the time of day.

That writer seems to put undue stock on where the national conventions are held. I really don't think that has any effect an elections whatsoever.

Obama has a very good chance at being re-elected. If this were the Jimmy Cater era, Obama would be done for, but the Demographics, followed by the entitlement mentality, will at least assure him of half of the country, as you don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Same five ways Obama won last time

1. Blame Bush
2. Demonize your opponent
3. Play the race card
4. Spread class warfare
5. Ignore your own record and promise the moon

I suppose "electoral fraud" should be at the top of that list, but I'm feeling charitable today.

Give me specifics, you want to explain how a candidate goes from winning the primaries to winning the White House you have to do it in more than write a couple words. Also, please please please please explain how Obama or the Democrats or someone with ill-intent is defrauding the electoral system, and source it.
