Looks like the wind changed direction again. Romney came out in support of an extension of the payroll tax holiday after previously stating that, " “I don’t like temporary little Band-Aids, I want to fundamentally restructure America’s foundation economically.” Today he said, “I would like to see the payroll tax cut extended because I know that working families are really feeling the pinch right now.”

In fairness its not only him thats changed his mind about the extension...other gopers have also....I think they are trying to ease up on the hard line to change perception

Well, I think that's why Romney decided it was okay to flip. He was following the people he's trying to suck up to....

That,s ok,its only Monday plenty of time for a couple of more flips before the week is over.

How many flip flops did Obama make?

Has any candidate not done so?

Even Paul did a 100% flip flop on abortion.

Great point! I don't know what the big deal is on flip flopping. I'm not a Romney supporter at all, but, I don't see anything wrong with a candidate changing his mind about something if more facts and more information is made available to make a judgement off of. I think the thing with Romney is that he changes his mind according to the shifting tide of popular opinion.

First ya'll don't like what he says then when he has time to reflect he changes his mind making his change for the better. Obviously you would rather he stick to the first answer than to actually provide a better answer later even though that was what you wanted to hear in the first place. With most of you, he can't win for losing.

I have no problem at all with people changing positions for considered reasons or because the facts on the ground have changed. As is so often the case with Romney, however, the situation hasn't changed and he hasn't provided any rationale for changing his position. The only thing that's really changed is that Republicans in DC have signaled that they would agree to extend the tax cuts under some conditions.

Romney flip flopped? Shocking.

I get it, no matter what he says or does you don't like him. Fair enough. Too bad reporters don't follow everyone around reporting each time they utter anything different than the last...our newspapers would finally have something other than ads in them.

Everyone isn't running for president.

Only one man was ever perfect, the rest of us are human...except in the mind of liberals, they are always right.

No kidding. On a good day Romney to put together a string of doubler gainers.

When did they close GITMO?

I highly doubt there will be one GOPer that will end up voting against this and basically vote no ending up in a tax hike. Ain't gonna happen. Any of them can say they don't like the bill, but Obama cornered them on this one and it will pass. Romney is just such an idiot and so is any of the other repubs coming out saying they are against it because there is no way in hell they will end up voting no and creating a tax hike.
