Newt Gingrich: Serial Hypocrisy - YouTube

There is no bigger hypocrite running for President that Newt Gingrich. Bravo to Ron Paul for this great ad detailing Newt's hypocrisy. My only complaint is that it doesn't go far enough in exposing what a slimeball this guy really is.

Ron Paul has released a new web ad that portrays Newt Gingrich as a serial hypocrite.
The 150-second ad showcases some questionable conservative stances made by the former speaker of the House, such as his agreement with Nancy Pelosi that “our country must take action to address climate change” and labeling Representative Paul Ryan’s proposed Medicare overhaul as “right-wing social engineering.”
The ad uses gritty black and white news clips to slam Gingrich’s work since leaving public office 13 years ago as a lobbyist for the health care industry and for mortgage giant Freddie Mac.
It is also feature clips of influential conservatives such as Rush Limbaugh and Rep. Paul Ryan taking swipes at Mr. Gingrich’s positions.

You might want to start getting used to saying, "President Gingrich".

Newt's the front runner.

He's going to challenge Obama with statements like this:

“Really poor children, in really poor neighborhoods have no habits of working and have nobody around them who works so they have no habit of showing up on Monday,” Gingrich claimed.
“They have no habit of staying all day, they have no habit of I do this and you give me cash unless it is illegal,” he added.

Nothing in here really shocked me and its who I have thought Newt is for a while...he's conservative in principle, however rather than being an ideologue he's a pragmatic populist which causes him to examine his principles on individual issues to decide if perhaps, in that particular situation, it may not be the best course of action. I don't think he really presents himself significantly as something other than that...his latest statements on immigration kind of highlighting that. I have less issue with that then I do someone like Romney, who I think changes his political positions not because of pragmatism or populism but "make sure my ass stays elected"-ism and doesn't really have a solid baseline ideology imho.

Does any one else see the humor in a liberal posting and trumpeting a campaign about from Ron Paul?

Now, I will admit fully that the ad is extremely well done. Good imagery, good audio, good sticking on message (who thought that'd be something said in relation to Ron Paul), and solid criticism. The issue is that with it being put out by Paul I don't know how much attention it'll get by people outside of Paul diehards.

It was all over TV political talk shows today.

Perhaps it will have more of an impact and lasting effect then I expect. If it did that'd be a definite positive sign for the Paul campaign.

The ad is not about Paul though, it's about Gingrich. No one was talking about Paul, they where talking about how the ad would affect Gingrich. The person who might benefit most from the ad is Romney.

I agree. However, if this was 2008 I don't think the ad would've gotten much notice being put out by the Paul campaign, even without talking about him.

I hope that he has your support for the GOP nomination. I know that I am going to do everything that I can to help Newt get the nomination. I would love to see the GOP nominate this sleazebag and then pretend to be the party of "family values".....too much fun here!

plus....Newt would be a much easier opponent in the GE than Romney. Newt will not appeal to many moderates and independents the way that Romney would. I pray that Newt stays on top and isn't just the latest GOP flavor of the week.

Talk about shooting one's self in the foot, the GOP is handing the election to Obama by attacking each other. They look like school kids out there. They need to be attacking Obama, his polities, his mis-handling of the economy, his constant vacationing while people starve, his wife's trips with an entourage that costs millions...etc, etc. But nooooooooooooooooooooooo, they gotta' act like Bevis and Butthead.

We need another Andrew Jackson to rout those fools!
