In her first televised interview ever, Gloria Cain, wife of Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain, sat down with her husband and said that the allegations of sexual harassment against him don’t square with the man she knows.

To hear such graphic allegations and know that that would have been something that was totally disrespectful of her as a woman and I know that’s not the person he is,” she said, according to partial transcripts of an interview with Greta Van Susteren that will air on Fox News Monday night. “He totally respects women.”

Cain, who has been married for 43 years to the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, has been silent for much of her husband’s race for the White House. Her last public appearance came in May when her husband announced his candidacy.

I’m thinking he would have to have a split personality to do the things that were said,” Cain said of the allegations against her husband.

Wow, all of a sudden, Cain detractors have nothing more to say about the "Cain babes". And to think last week Cain was a brute.
 
As Gloria Cain was not present during these alleged incidents, she offers nothing of actual substance which proves or disproves what may have happened.
 
Apparently, the 'drive-by media' got run over by the Cain Train.

When a wife appears publicly with her husband in light of these kinds of allegations, that's statement enough. Would you not do the same for your spouse?

Cain's wife isn't exactly a neutral party, FYI. Kobe's wife came out to support him as well. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove with this.

Gloria Cain just kicked the media in the crotch, they may never recover. We'll see if they come forth with REAL proof.

So a wife defends her husband. That's nice for them I guess. But if you think this has any impact on the allegations against him, it doesn't.

Gingrich bitchslaps the Today Show out of the ballpark over the Cain issue. Cain agreeing to a polygraph test also took some a lot of wind out of their sales. I also told you that Gloria Allred wasn't doing them any good, and then this woman with a history of suing her employers.

This is nothing more than Newt blaming the "Librul" media when in fact it probably was one of Cain's competitorsin the GOP who leaked the information to Politico.

If there was a liberal media conspiracy to bring down Cain (high-tech lynching), then of course they can. Isn't that what conservative hacks like to blame for all the problems of conservative candidates?

In other news, why is this surprising? Even if Cain were guilty, would you honestly expect Gloria Cain to come out and say "Oh, my husband is a horrible person, he shouldn't be President"?
 
Well duh she came to his defense. If she didn't, it would probably end up looking worse for him because people would start to question WHY she didn't defend him.

What do you think it is a statement of Maggie?

In the case of Kobie Bryant it was that the spouse had negotiated a significant price for her cooperation.

I wouldn't be so fast to make such a judgment. Neither is it fair to Cain to presume him guilty until proven innocent. But this whole thread is just kinda idiotic. What else would you expect the wife to say?

I think it shows sincere support for one's spouse. It's pretty easy to come out in support of one's husband in a situation like this...I'd be calling the media myself. As to Mrs. Bryant, can't really speak to this except, "There are whores everywhere."
