Was the recent attack on Herman Cain’s presidential campaign a professional hit job? Absolutely, says Herman Cain.

OK, let's see here. Cain tells OWS that any problems they have with the one percent are all their own fault. Then he turns around and blames his own problems on Rick Perry.

Is it just me, or does anybody else see the irony here? LOL.

Article is here.

I see you've chosen your issue for the year. Heaven helps us. Maybe you ought to first rationalize the comparison.

I am sorry you don't see it. It is so obvious.

1) Cain tells others that their problems are their own fault.

2) He then tells people that his problem is somebody else's fault.

And thanx for the setup. I think I will keep you around as my sidekick.

The thing that sticks out to me is not that aspect, but that many where using the timing of the women coming forward as evidence that there was nothing to the story. Now it turns out, as they should have known, that the women did not come forward. I wonder if all those who where blaming the victims will apologize now.

If the man in question had been Bill Clinton, they would have sided with the victims in a heartbeat. LOL.

For some people, the concept of personal responsibility only extends up to the edge of the things they need to take personal responsibility for.

Regardless of who leaked the story, Cain's to blame for it's existence, even if he really didn't do anything wrong. And I have no idea whether or not he did it, and I don't particularly care. The alleged victims chose to accept a settlement on it so it's not rally an issue anymore, IMO. At the same time, he chose to give a settlement, and that choice is worthy of criticism if he was innocent of the charges.

See, this is where I am about the whole thing, and why I think from a tactical and strategic standpoint Cain is screwing up. It's old and settled news. Step forward, say you made mistakes and it was handled at the time. You regret it, and then move on. His denials and attacks and complaints give the story more life. I don't care about the issue, but his handling of it makes him look bad.

The obvious solution is that Cain and Perry should both be exempt from having to campaign for the primaries.
The debates are just too hard for Perry and dealing with Cain's past is just too hard for Cain. So, let's give them a pass. Perry needs the time to come up with his presidential platform and ideas so they'll be ready before his term as PotUS ends.

I still ca't wrap my head around Cain's handling of the harassment scandal given that his campaign had a 10 day head start. Ten days, a full week and then some, and the best they came up with was faulty recollection?

Only thing that bothers me about the whole situation is (as usual) the politician's reaction to it. It may or may not have merit...and maybe we'll never know. No. I'll change that: We'll never know. I don't fault him that he didn't bring it up before someone else did. That just makes sense. BUT. He knew it might be. Of course he did. Where was his honest hip-pocket response? It wasn't really there. He at first hoped it would go away. Will they never learn?

Yes, there were allegations by two women at the NRA while I was an officer of the company. When I learned of them, I turned it over the our legal department. They were absolutely baseless. Our legal department did an independent investigation and found them baseless. These allegations must always be taken seriously. And they were. As I understand it, our company entered into a confidential settlement agreement with one (both?) in order to avoid legal expenses and remove a disgruntled employee from our workplace.

Where was THAT answer? It should've been in his right-hand coat pocket.

He'll be taking over Palin's time slot on Fox News soon.

If Perry is not behind this, then explain this tweet.

Good luck fantasizing about me ever being your sidekick. Enjoy!

Trying to tie OWS to the Perry situation is ridiculous, how is it even the same thing? Cain might be wrong about Perry, but it's hardly relatable without twisting things around in a ridiculous fashion.

You still don't get it, do you? Here is the deal:

1) In this interview with Wall Street Journal, listen to what Cain says at the 10:10 mark. He clearly states that, in regard to the question about OWS, if someone does not have a job, it is THEIR fault.

2) However, in regard to his own situation, Cain clearly states that it is not HIS fault.

My premise is that Cain blames the problems that others have on those others, but blames his own problems on others too, instead of on himself. I have documented this hypocrisy quite well.

I can't believe I'm saying this but.... you're trying to tie the Eiffel tower to the Statue of Liberty with a piece of string... the two situations aren't even remotely similar.

They were both made in France, that's a fair sized string!
