Many political observers agree that Rick Perry's dismal debate performances have helped spark his dramatic collapse in recent polls. Now, not surprisingly, the Republican presidential hopeful insists his biggest mistake in the campaign so far was agreeing to participate in the forums at all.

So, Rick Perry is all butt hurt about participating in the debates. I have a message for him:

Hey Rick,

The debates are not a chance to tear candidates down, but a chance for contenders to articulate their positions, and then defend them against the competition. That what debates are about (Debating 101). Let's draw a contrast here. In the last debate, Herman Cain was gangbanged by all the other candidates on his positions, but he held fast, and instead of getting flustered and looking angry, continued to articluate his position. That is why he has such a huge lead on you now. And, face it, you had just as much of a chance to get your message across as Cain did, but you came across as an asshat bully instead, after agressively posturing like a tough guy against Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. And that is all the difference in the world between you and Cain, and just about all the other candidates, for that matter.

Face it, Rick, participating in the debates is not the only mistake you made. You also made a mistake by deciding to run for president. Sorry, Rick, but you just don't cut the mustard here.

Article is here.
