Rick Perry was interviewed after a recent dinner meeting with Donald Trump; he now seems to believe that President Obama's birth certificate was probably a fake. Perry is obviously desperate for votes and is likely to say the most incredibly stupid things; though he certainly does understand his "base".

As if more proof was needed that Perry is a nutter. The TP better do their best to keep Trump away from Cain.....

Anything to to support this claim that people can investigate?

Try reading a newspaper.
Begs the question: Just exactly how stupid would you have to be to believe in birther conspiracy theories?

the thread author is not being truthful with us.

Rick Perry doesn't know if Obama's birth certificate is real - latimes.com
The GOP presidential candidate was asked by Parade magazine whether he believed that Obama was born in the United States.

“I have no reason to think otherwise,” he said.

Pressed for a “definitive” answer, Perry continued: “Well, I don’t have a definitive answer, because he’s never seen my birth certificate.”

“But you’ve seen his,” the interviewer replied.

“I don’t know. Have I?” Perry said.

“I don’t know,” Perrry said when asked if he believed the birth certificate was real. “I had dinner with Donald Trump the other night. ... He doesn’t think it’s real. ... I don’t have any idea. It doesn’t matter. [Obama is] the President of the United States. He’s elected. It’s a distractive issue.”

honesty is always the best policy.

Ah - thanks Thrilla.

Honesty is the best policy, but it's expected that unjustified smear attempts will be carried over into DP from the far left blogs. It's just gonna happen....

Am I supposed to read every single one every friggen day?

While I surely don't feel Perry is well endowed with grey matter btwn his ears about all I see him here saying is that it is a non-issue.

Oh I see, he just doesn't know for sure. Uh-huh.
I wonder why he doesn't know? Talk about dishonest.

i haven't see it myself, felt it, explored it for errors. so I too don't know for SURE...that's its real.

but I don't care..and that's the big difference.

This moved Perry up a couple notches in my respect. Maybe he isn't a total nutter.

Indeed...lets TALK about being dishonest. Dude says he didnt know, nor does he care, that it is a non-issue...yet SOME people just insist on making this a hit piece. That dishonesty thing...it IS a bitch...isnt it?

you don't know for sure either... i don't know for sure... none of us know for sure.
I don't have any reason to believe he wasn't born in Hawaii ,though... and i'm sure you don't either.

that makes me ,you ,and Perry....in agreement.

so why did you feel the need to be dishonest when you started this thread?

what compelled you to write "he now seems to believe that President Obama's birth certificate was probably a fake" when you had no evidence of him doing that but had evidence of the opposite?

Wait...what? In a thread started about someone else being dishonest it was actually the OP that was the one being dishonest? Wow!!! Who saw that one coming???

Birthers don't pretend very well, though they are quite good at promoting slimey innuendo. I'm sure fair and balanced folks find Perry's oblique equivocations to be very persuasive.

Not like your OP isn't full of innuendo either now is it?

oh.. clever... now Perry is pretending eh?

see folks, this here is a case of what someone wants to be rather than what something may or may not be.
partisanship simply makes people do and say stupid and dishonest sh*t from time to time.

Yes, the OP exaggerated Perry's stance, however he apparently doesn't accept Obama was born in the U.S., by definition he's a birther, that's the point being made.

so when Perry says he has no reason to believe Obama wasn't born in the US, that really means " I don't accept that Obama was born in the US"

the op didn't exaggerate.. he lied.... kinda like you just did.

both of you, stop being dishonest.... just accept that your wishes that Perry is a birther are incorrect according to the evidence.... and move along.

Every time an idiot like Perry says "I don't know" he knows exactly what he's doing and who his target audience is.
The question still stands: How stupid would you have to be to believe in birther conspiracy theories? How stupid would you have to be to have ever given any credence to any part of it in the first place?

No, not too clever, not too clever at all. Completely transparent, couldn't possibly be more obvious.

well, I guess you see what you want to see.... I can't help you with that, I can only point out your errors and hope you would correct them.

this won't be the first time my hopes have been dashed upon the altar of partisanship, won't be the last either.
