Cain: For the poor, it's '9-0-9'

Jryan, I see that quite often where I work. We joke about these individuals who go to see "Dr Summeroff" or "Dr Winteroff". You know the minute you hear they're going to the doctor that you won't see them for somewhere between 3 and 18 months. We actually fired one who was on light duty and got caught using a company truck to move furniture (guess that shoulder wasn't so bad after all).

It is unfortunate that THESE PEOPLE have to ruin the system for everyone who is honestly on it. I was out for two weeks last year after surgery. The amount of paperwork and crap I had to go through to prove it was a legitimate absence was directlydue to these idiots I mentioned above. We aren't ruining the system. It's those people who refuse to even attempt to stand on their own two feet.

I liken it to an obstacle course race I did a couple weeks back. If you failed to complete an obstacle after two tries, you had to do five "burpees" as a penalty. Failing to even attempt the obstacle was penalized with twenty "burpees". The difference in our society is that we punish the people who have completed the obstacle when someone else fails to even be willing to try it.
