Great Bain Capital photo.

Look at them, hugging and eating and rubbing and sucking their corporate-raider money. At least Romney had enough sense not to stuff it in his collar like that one guy, instead choosing to simply grab on to the right end of a bill while smiling, devilishly. Oh, and then there's some money falling out of his coat. Oops!

If this does not appear in an attack ad at some point in the next year, then various rival campaigns will have failed.

Um... this describes most politicians. Too bad his face has to be attached to this theme though.

Meanwhile, here is a photo of Rick Perry that he probably wants destroyed.

Somewhere Rick Santorum is being deeply disturbed by this photo with the door locked.

The significance of the photo is because of Bain Capital - a corporate raider whose actions always result in the loss of jobs. He was not a job creator, he was a job killer. That's his business expertise - killing jobs.

Obama fund-raising outpaces GOP field - Political Intelligence - A national political and campaign blog from The Boston Globe - Boston.com

"President Obama reported raising more than $70 million dollars in the third quarter for his re-election effort, shy of the amount he took in the previous quarter but well above the totals reported by any of his prospective challengers.

The president raised roughly $43 million for his campaign and $27 million for the Democratic National Committee. Last quarter, he raised $86 million between the two groups."

So what the heck is the point of the OP?
Politicians raise money from doners. Many are big business or lobbist.
Is it because Mitt is not a Democrat?

??????????

What on Earth are you talking about, the OP has nothing whatsoever to do with campaign donations? It's about Mitt Romney being a blood-sucking corporate raider wit Bain Capital that kills jobs!! That's where he made his millions. For him to say he knows how to create jobs is complete BS. You can expect this to be a big issue if he gets the expected nomination.

God, that's hilarious. And the look on his face is just so devious... he looks like a cartoon villain.

I don't see the problem Bain Capital, from what little research I just did, is a venture capital firm Mitt Romney and a few other chums, founded in 1984 as a split off from "Bain and Company" where he worked. So what I see, is a man who's started a new business or started a whole new branch for an existing business, and apparently has been quite successful. The whole point of this business being to provide capital to start up or other businesses in need, and be repaid at a later date. Making money is the point, they don't have a product they can pose around.

Sure the picture is a little silly, but its no more silly than going out drinking and someone snapping a "drunk photo" yes its a silly photo but really is it a big deal?

To be fair, if I could make millions for myself cutting jobs I'd do it too.

Wow this picture should land a bunch of very young men in a gulag.

What a cheap attack about a meaningless picture that is clear very old. I don't see any reason to fear a picture that depicts success, unless you're Damn dumb-ass Liberal without a clue, out to try to make out like they wouldn't be happy to be successful rather than being on Welfare and cry poor me as they protest Wall Street.

Or maybe they part of the truly dumb-asses that quit their job to protest the shortages of jobs.

I think the mental midgets are beyond help, with their lack of mental acuity they need to go back to the 3rd grade only pay attention this time, and keep your hands above the desk top.

it does depict what romney values as the symbol of success
be certain we will help him run on that message

hell. it might even cause voters to forget he is also mormon. maybe he will thank us

If this is supposed to be a "Aha!" moment, it's not. I can't see this getting any "gotcha" traction among grownups.

They actually created jobs too. Ever hear of Staples? Guess which venture capitalist funded that idea...(I'll give you a hint. His intials are WMR.)

Mitt Romney

I will never vote for Romney, but yeah, this.

What this says to me, although I have no way of knowing that it's true, its just the impression I get, is that these men after starting this company got their first big sale, or an especially big one, after what I can imagine to be months of talk and they are celebrating by taking a goofy picture.

How many of us have dumb pics in our pasts? (I'm thinking about an original "XXXX-in-Box" Pat Boone photo here.)

And who cares? Only petty partisans whose only game is dumb "gotchas."

I really have to hope that all the future leaders of our country who are now in college find a way to expunge their "youthful indiscretions" from collegehumor.com and etc. before, in this ever-more-"archived" world, some asshat on a "gotcha" mission unearths family photos or frat pics or whatever that somehow "prove" the person is "bad."

About the photo:

"The Globe reports that the picture was taken during a photo shoot for the company's brochure. After the official photo was taken, Romney and his Bain associates hammed it up for this memorable shot, a decision Romney surely regrets...."

The Bain Capital Photo Everyone Will Use Against Mitt Romney

That picture won't hurt Mitt any more than these photos hurt Obama... snore...

that's how I read it too. If I ever run for office, I am going to have a special donor fund set up specifically to bribe not a few of the guys from my old platoon.

Ya nothing wrong with the thrill of, as a young man, of having completed a business transaction and making a lot of money. Its a major mark of success for them, again especially as men, to accomplish the things their company has done.

precisely, and blowing off steam by being silly after the conclusion of such an event is a far preferable alternative to (for example) partying with drugs and hookers.

People here seem to be underestimating the persuasive power of images....

Yes, we all know that the picture itself is not condemning, and not indicative of any wrongdoing on Romney's part. However, let's say you're on the Obama campaign, making an attack ad, and at one point the subject of big banks, or tax rates for the rich, or any number of similar things, pops up. Which picture are you going to impose over that - one with Romney looking happy or decent, or one with him stuffing money down his suit?

Fact is, fair or not, we will be seeing this image in the coming year, possibly quite a lot.

Also I still find it f***ing hilarious. Seriously, look at it. That's the man who could very likely become President.

Ya I think some people think that rich businessmen would do something like stuff dollar bills in their shirt collars as anything other than a joke, like they literally swim around in cash like Scrooge McDuck
