the media chose Romney and Perry

Election... Right. Did you know Hitler got a lot of votes in election? Do you know that democracy is not only about eletion?

In fact, do you know what democracy is about at all or did the political class spin that reality our of your head? Democracy is only as democratic as the people make it, the quality of it measured by the real participation of the people (besides election), its about equal chance, its about the people holding politicians accountable, its about the people understanding politics, its about politicians actually performing politics, not circus. democracy is not about paying and manipulating your way into office and then dont give a **** about what the people want. its not about to parties fighting each other for their own selfish reasons, its about representing what the people want.

Folks, I give you PeteEU 2.0 with a side of Godwin's tossed into the mix.

Hint: You are paying attention to the MSM. Republican primary voters tend to make up their own mind much more often through sources than the major media outlets. They do not trust the major media outlets any longer....and in your sig you say common sense is dead in the US, that alone proves it is not.

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your mind it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
Step outa line the man comes and takes you away

It is only paranoia if my claims are baseless or excessive. Do you really think the major media are in any way independent institutions that do not act in service of those with the most power? Who do you think writes their checks and gives them access to all the "juicy" stories? The media are beholden to interests that do not have any concern for the issues of the commoner, except insomuch as they provide a means to perpetuate their own wealth and power.

Let me come to Maximus Zeebra defense.

The mainstream media wants Mitt Romney, not Perry and not Herman Cain. The media could have crushed his business experience, but they don't.

Why? Conservative establishment wants him because they think he is more likely to win the states in the north. They only care about getting Obama out of the white house, they don't care about having someone the GOP can be proud of in office. The conservative media can cover up his record and get him elected. The liberal media is terrified of someone like Herman Cain get elected, because they have constructed the myth that "Tea Party is racists". Also, he not a moderate like Mitt Romney. Hence, both the liberal and conservative media is trying to get Mitt Romney to be elected.

Just take a look at Washington Post, where they are desperatly trying to discredit Herman Cain. If they didn't want Mitt Romney to be the nominee, why would they bother?

Wanna see some lulz? Media wants a two person race since Perry shot himself in the foot. Cain is ticking off the liberal media with calling OWS Un-american, black people are delusional and it's there fault stuff. So I except some backlash from them.

Anyway, about Paul.

I almost thought Cain won VVS after that vid XD.

Could they be any more obvious? They might as well shout from the rooftops: "We do not want you voting for Ron Paul!" This is why I stopped watching Fox News. At least the other news channels show some tact in their effort to suppress the Ron Paul vote.

Congratulation to Mr Romney and Mr Perry for being selected by the media as republican candidates for the republican primary.

I actually agree with that. The media has chosen who they want to win the republican primary and all other republican candidates will be ignored just like the media in general ignores 3rd party candidates.Of course this doesn't mean they will win the actual election. It just means the media picked to them to lose and if they do not lose they will not be be that far different than the previous presidents.

and congratulation to the magnificent state of American democracy and the lack of influence and involvement of people.
Most people are too busy to pay attention and politics bores the **** out of a lot of people.

Politics in general are more like those fake wrestling show on tv. While on camera the so called wrestlers pretend to be bitter enemies and doing all kinds of **** to hurt each other for the amusement of fans and to keep them in suspense in who will win. However the reality is these so called wrestlers are professional stunt men who walk into that ring knowing who is going to lose and are coordinating their stunts with each other to put on a good show in order to keep their jobs in order to continue making money.

Right. an answer delusional and with attempt of personal attack. how typical of the population now to copy tje elite who is choking them. typical Stockholm syndrom going on in the US, spiced up with massive denial of the reality.

Its no point to argue these people. They are sleeping their way into an authoritarian slavery system where no one will be free. so much for the will of the people.

I have given up on these people, they are drugged up completely.

an insightful answer and a great anology. I am sad to report that we basically have the same problems in much of Europe.

and no one here is making revolution either. we need to overthrow the scum like they did in the middle east and make sure we will not replace scum with scum like they most likely will in the middle east in the end.

Romney is getting most of the attention because he's the only Republican candidate who isn't certifiably insane, or at least half a retard.

Can't really do anything about it unless you want to make it a law requiring voters have to take a quiz on the past votes(this is actually more important than their positions because candidates say one thing and do another) and positions of the candidate before they can vote for a politician and ban listing a politician's political affiliation so that people actually vote for a politician and what that politician represents.

What specifically (that he hasn't revoked) has Cain said that is insane? What about Perry?

Come on, Mitt Romney said yesterday he will start a trade war with China. If you care about you living standards, you don't want to get on bad terms with China. I don't think it has anything to do with insanity, but that Mitt Romney is a tool for the establishment.

The only thing that comes to mind when I read your post is:

Why do we vote for politicians at all? Why do we vote for parties? its so ridiculous in my mind.

We need to vote on policies!! The people must be involved in politics.

Perhaps I was wrong. Perhaps the media only selected Romney and is making sure Ron Paul get no attention at all. Afterall it will be very exciting to see what kind of selections the media makes in the primaries and in the general selection 2012.

The selection 2016 will be even more exciting as the media then will stand free to control the whole process since there is no re-selection.

Go selection 2012, go selection 2016. It will matter so much, because the policies will not be the same no matter who is selected by the media, ehm, people I mean.
Hope and change anyone? Perhaps a dose of he said she said? :peace
