AHEM. You must not be pretty. Pretty is work! Eating right, excersizing, and grooming do a hell of a lot for prettiness. A fat slob won't be pretyy because they don't work at it.
Granted, there definately is a certain element of prettiness that come right from birth, not all of it though.
You think if Angelina Jolie put on 160 lbs, she would be pretty? OR look at Charlize Theron is Monster, she looked major ugly, and she's a normally beautiful women.
Furthermore, toughness and intelligence are work too, these are thing I know more. Ever met an intelligent man, that doesn't read? or a tough man, that doesn't know how to use thier bodies? Again, there are certain elements people start out with, all in all, generally pretty close.
The stupidest "normal" person, or most mentally challenged poeple (excluding invalids and people in comas) though somewhat "low" by our standards, are more intelligent than ANY OTHER ANIMAL AT PEAK.

enough with that. There is social pressure, because DARWIN WAS RIGHT.
Too often though labels are attached out of malice, envy or jealousy, you're right about that.
But labels are an expidient tool. It takes too long, to fully know everyone you'll ever interact with, especially if only for a moment. By the time you completely know 1 person, 1/2 of your life may be gone. So, because we're mortal and we die, we have to make use of labels, and some of them to exclude people who seem to behave in manners we don't approve (and yes, we are allowed to judge, in fact, we must).
Like the label: Dirty Evil Socialist Republican Party Statist Apologists, aka John W Bush Voters :p
Or Dirty Evil Socialist Democrat Party Statist Control Freaks, aka Geroge F Kerry voters.
Can never really tell the two apart though, just one looks more like a monkey.
