Tell you what. Let's assume that Jewish Virtual Library - Homepage is a completely objective, non-partisan source and we can rely on this website as being 100% truthful and objective.

We can deduce from your article:

o Jews are continuing to live in Iran, as they have for centuries.
o The jewish population is the second largest in the ME outside Israel.
o There is a government sanctioned Council of the Jewish Community
o The Jews are guaranteed a representative in parliament.
o There are Jewish schools in Iran.
o They are allowed to conduct Jewish studies in schools.
o 3 of 13 jews accused of spying for Israel in 1999 were set free. Those that were found guilty received prison terms of 2-10 years.

Now, please explain to me how these facts support the contention in Vader's video that Iran seeks to exterminate the jews like Hitler's Germany.

Want to guess how many times Mohammed Khatami, Iran's former president threatened Jews? He even said that Jews were equal citizens. Clearly he's wrong, but what kind of Jew hater would say that?

It's no wonder that the boogeymen of the US and Jews came out when the economy started to tank under Ahmadinejad. That's straight out of the textbook of the methods of unifying a country. I don't have pretenses that the jews in Iran are living in unrestricted freedom of religion.

However, a video that claims that Iran wants to exterminate the Jews like Hitler's Nazi Germany is just bigotted propoganda, and only the ignorant would believe it -- or cite it to support their proposition.

This phenonamon can also be the product of an external threat (real or perceived) -- such as a superpower invading two different countries on your border and claiming your country is the axis of evil.

That statement, made once several years ago, has been interpreted differently than you claim. Israel is a Jewish state, and stating a desire to remove a Jewish state is not the same as seeking to exterminate the Jews.

If Iran's objective is to exterminate the Jews, why haven't they started with the Jews living in their own country for centuries?

They very first line on the very first screen in the video compared Iran to Nazi Germany and asserted Iran seeks to exterminate the Jews.

Yeah, but it's much older then that. External threats perceived and real are one of the oldest methods of unifying a people and a country. This goes back to the dawn of civilization.
