You've gone for the wrong angle. It is actually the hope for a consensus that is the problem. Science is ridden with publication bias that bogusly encourages the notion of consensus. This is an unfortunately repercussion of the peer refereeing process for journal publications. You need to try and find articles that were rejected from core journals for no valid reason, or find empirical evidence of bias (e.g. Michaels, 2008, Evidence for "publication Bias" Concerning Global Warming in Science and Nature, Energy & Environment, Vol 19, pp 287-301)
