Hogwash. Republican's traditionally tend to get the bulk of their donation's from Bundlers (Bush Pioneers), and Democrats tend to get the bulk of their donation's from upper income white collar workers, advocacy groups, and wealthy donors. Those bundlers generally represent corporate donations and various ideological groups. Basically, bundlers go out and get CEOs, VPs, and their wives and families to max out.
Obama is different. His donor base is massive (several times what any Republican has ever enjoyed), and his average contribution is something like 67 dollars. It's by and large a true grass roots movement.
