The fact is that he does have a point.

9/11 was the result of a Democratic under response to repeated attacks.

And Democrats are and have been making noises that they believe our own government is a bigger threat to our safety than Jihadists and terrorists. And too many damn people have, well, they haven't exactly forgotten 9/11, but they act as if it was a fluke. 'The danger is past. Jihadists have been licked in Iraq. We can go back to our old way of life and elect a Democrat who feels the same way as we do.'

His sign says what I just did in fewer words and more succinctly.

I take it you didn't see the guy interviewed then. He is nothing short of a buffoon. He couldn't even make his point in a complete sentence. He fits the profile of what a "dumb southern republican" would look like to a 't'.
