A Presidential campaign. Barack Obama spent over $200 mil in the primary, God knows how much of that was spent after McCain won the nomination and ceased his primary campaign. There will be debates, ads, issues, etc. I'm not saying necessarily that McCain will win, just that spending $200 mil and winding up with a 4 or 5 point lead over someone who hasn't been running cannot possibly be rationally taken as an indication that that 4 point lead is an insurmountable barrier.
