So take solace! We have some breathing room to define our own victories!
By win do you mean militarily defeating the Baathist regime, toppling Saddam and so forth? Mission accomplished!
Does winning mean that we realize that we no longer have anything to gain in Iraq and leaving? That would consitute a major victory in my opinion.
Does winning mean staying there forever? Or until Iraq becomes a Jeffersonian democracy that sells us an infinite supply of oil for $3 a barrel?
