Let me get this straight.

You are more concerned with Obama's appearing at a disadvantage rather than trying to find who will have the best qualifications to lead this country?

WINNING ISN'T EVERYTHING.

Apart from those actually involved in the campaigns, it should be OUR job to want to expose any weakness possible in the two candidates so that we get the clearest possible picture of what we are getting for the next four years.

Your argument reminds me of the person who liked the idea of helping Yugoslavia's economy and liked the idea of an inexpensive car and so you committed to wanting to buy a Yugo. And when people pointed out to you that for the same amount of money you could get a MUCH better and more reliable USED American, Japanese, German or Korean car you mounted a spirited defense of the terribly made vehicle.

You are arguing against your own best interests in defending Obama's avoidance of such a venue.

I'll bet you wouldn't permit a serious romantic partner to avoid even partial pre-marital intimacy with you before you proposed marriage.

Why not?

Because you want to make sure of what you are getting before you commit.

So why would you make excuses for Obama to avoid the questions or comments or reactions of a military audience? It would be the last time they would have a chance to express their feelings or thoughts before he was, hypothetically, elected.

You know he is weak on the military aspests of his policies. That's why you'd support his hiding them from the public.

But we are at war, dammit!

For him to dodge a military venue is just plain unacceptable and it reeks of cowardice.

If he can't face Americans in regards to the war how in the hell do you expect he will act when it comes to dealing with Ahmadinejad or Hamas?

Obama is ill suited for the job.

He isn't ready.
