I wont contest that this is an unrealstic scenario, that the US will become Nazi and declare martial law.
However, can I assume that there are more military bases within the border than outside the border? I don't know if this is true or not, just assuming.
Also, no matter how well armed our militias, they will not be as well armed as our military.
If it came to oppressing the people, I really don't see how we can stop it with our militias. The militia would simply be outmatched.
