Also, rice, corn, and oatmeal do not possess a complete BCAA content. Even though many essential amino's are present in vegetables, they are negligible amounts. A good example would be L-Glutamine. |
At least you find it interesting.
L-glutamine? Isn't l glutamine non-essential? Created by the body, except during particular illnesses? In other words, you don't even need
negligible amounts of it normally.
If I remember right, you are a bodybuilder. Maybe you believe in the supplements and diet information that some companies hawk. This supplement helps build muscle mass, this one reduces fat... I think a lot of misinformation comes from companies that make money selling such products.
The link I posted below shows a graph with the 8 essential amino acids on it, and the amounts of them in vegetables and meats. I wanted the lady who started this thread to see it. She doesn't need to worry that her kids aren't getting enough protein at lunchtime, or any other time, due to a lack of meat. Meat is not necessary for adequate protein intake.
If you like milk, drink it. Eat meat if you want. I do too (eat some chicken or fish), but very little. Its okay in small doses.
