Where are you getting this stuff from anyway?
I mean, folks keep talking about how bad the economy supposedly is and in the last month I've quit a high paying job, was offered dozens more, and finally selected one that paid me enough to jump me yet another tax bracket (unfortunately). It's just a 6 month contract and I have two more lined up for immediately after this one is over. And the economy is supposedly "bad"? In a decline? In a recession? Things are going to the ****ter? If things were better, would I have been offered 2 dozen jobs instead of just one dozen? I mean... really. I'm STILL getting calls from recruiters. I can't get rid of them!
The contract I accepted is with a financial brokerage firm. One that is apparently prospering enough to hire more personnel. Recession? We're all gonna starve? Where's this **** coming from because from my perspective, I'm making the best living I ever have and have my choice of going to just about any location I want to, working for numerous firms, and making very good money.
Where's this recession happening?
